Went in because I was craving a bowl of soup and I saw on their menu when I searched that they had homemade soups, I ordered the vegetable soup (they had 2 soups offered) I sat there for about 15 minutes before the server bought out a tomato tortellini I said I ordered vegetable soup of course he apologized then another 5 minutes goes by when the person that was working the register came to my table and he apologized for the delay and said my soup would be out shortly at which point I told him to cancel the order and told that I would never be back.

I would like to share my experience regarding the treatment of my 15-year-old daughter while employed at this cafe. As her first job, she was excited to learn and contribute. Unfortunately, the way she was treated and the lack of proper training made this experience both discouraging and down right appalling.
On her very first day at the Trappe location, she made a small mistake inputting an order. Instead of constructive feedback, she was scolded and told to fold silverware for 3 hours.
Later that night, she received a text after 10pm, telling her she needed to be at the phoenixville location early the next morning, which is much further for her. The lack of communication and respect for her time was extremely unprofessional, especially considering she does not drive yet.
The following day, after another minor mistake—forgetting scrapple on a customer’s order—she was scolded IN FRONT OF employees and customers. The boss, Karen, told her, “People like you shouldn’t be waitressing. You definitely need more experience.” An employee did actually side with my daughter, which I appreciate. Not only was this comment unprofessional, but it was also deeply hurtful to a young person trying to develop in the workplace. I also want to add that she was not given any break during her shift from 7am -3pm except to go to the bathroom.
Ultimately, after just two days of work, she was let go via text with no clear explanation or attempt to address any of the challenges she faced.
I truly hope this feedback encourages the management to rethink how they handle new employees, especially young people, and provide them with the proper guidance, training, and respect.
Until then, there are plenty of other wonderful businesses that I would rather support and hope others do as well.

Never a bad meal here. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly and accommodating and we are always treated with respect. The weekends do get a bit busy so going either earlier in the morning or after 12pm is preferred. They are opening a second location in Phoenixville.
