My family has been coming here for yeeeeears and even though we now live in swfl, we /always/ stop at least once during our family visits.

Pass on the Nashville chicken sandwich. Better and bigger at a fast food restaurant for 1/2 the price. Haven't been here in a while but food was always pretty good. Maybe things have changed?

The Trappe is always a good stop. Caught a bit of the Phillies game on the deck. Great food and service. Recommend the wings and the prime rib sandwich.
It's pub food, or maybe a bit nicer. A fair number of options, including deli sandwiches, but nothing special. Pretty noisy (AKA kid friendly), but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. Booths > Tables.

Had the prime rib sandwich, it was extremely dry and charred tasting. Fries were good, but sandwich was a 3 out of 10. Would definitely not recommend. Very disappointing.

Had my son and daughter in law's baby shower here in a private room they have upstairs with it's own bar. Food and service was great and everyone had a great time. Highly recommend The Trappe Tavern!

Great place! I've been going here for 25+ years. Time for an update though, place looks dated and hasn't been renovated on far too long.

Most of the food is pretty good, but I've had one or two great meals off the special menu. Service has never disappointed.

I took my aunt and uncle there to catch up and had great drinks and an awesome dinner.
Service was horrible. Waited for over an hour for a sandwich. No one came to refill beverages. Young man started to take away plates before we were even finished.

This place is warm and inviting. The best cheesesteaks in the area.
Grossest food ever; cool place to watch the Phillies!
I ordered the fish tacos. Each taco literally had one 1.5 to 2 inch piece of fish. Girlfriend got reuban sandwich. It was OK. Also got onion rings and they were good. But! When I asked waitress for dipping sauce she got a little attitude. Must have been a bad day.
First time here and I have to say our group wasn’t a fan and the experience was super disappointing. We first ordered a chips and queso appetizer with jalapeño (which we asked for no jalapeno). The appetizer came out with the jalapeños and to top it off they were super sour and old. Took the waitress 20+ minutes to come back, which was when our main meals were ready, and she hadn’t checked on us once since bringing our drinks initially.
Then for our main meals, one member of my group ordered Alfredo tortellini which was very overcooked and mush. Another member ordered crab cakes which ended up burnt on the outside and mush/undercooked on the inside. He returned them and didn’t get any other food. The fries tasted as if the oil that they were cooked in is super old and hasn’t been changed. Again our waitress disappeared and we couldn’t find her when we were ready to pay. One member of our group had to go find our waitress/staff member to pay. In which the cost of the bill wasn’t worth the food and service we received.
Overall it was a really bad first experience and we probably won’t return. We were barely here for an hour and the experience was nothing like we expected.
Great atmosphere and the food is good. Prices are reasonable to.
