I have to give this place a rare five stars. Food is always good. Big portions. Waitresses and the young man at the desk are friendly. The booth has napkins ketchup syrup, salt, pepper, sugar, jelly, and a giant bottle of Tobasco pepper sauce. Now that's class! Fairly quiet TVs On both sides of the restaurant. Pancakes are huge! They even put your fork knife and spoon in a little white paper empire bag. (They do not oversalt the potatoes!) Talking to you First Watch! Great job Empire.

Check your food for hair -- especially home fries!! They were kind enough to apologize.

Went there today for the first time at lunch. Service was horrible one waitress was more concerned about cleaning the tables than servicing the table. Order soup and sandwich and she forgot the soup, The soup was ok greasy and not much flavor. No napkins on the table and luckily there were some on the ledge otherwise we would have been in trouble.prices were a little expensive will not be going back. We lost a great restaurant (Gino's) for this poor dinner very sad

Clean and bright, decent breakfast spot if you are into dinner, foods were a bit mediocre and service was a bit slow. I would give them a 3.5 if there was half star available.

The food is fine -- actually, it seems like the cooks are very good, and my Mediterranean omelet was delicious -- but the service is somewhere between thinly-restrained hostility and much better service by someone who acted like a normal, engaged server. The person who waited on me asked me how I was doing with an obviously uninterested demeanor. The other server actually asked her diner if they wanted onions and peppers in their home fries. Mine didn't even mention that those were options. When she brought my food and I asked for Tabasco she managed to put it on my table with her back turned. The other server asked how everything is, so I told her. I asked her to tell the cooks the omelette is very good, and she seemed concerned. Enough that I might come back. I know it's hard to find servers, but getting a server who clearly wants nothing to do with you kind of spoils the dining experience. DoorDash next time? Maybe so. The ambiance is perfectly fine. Spacious and well-lit. In fairness, I've had worse service. Forty years ago last February.

Very dated and dirty. Food just ok. Service poor and wait time to long. We only tried once to get a feel of how the place is run. We don't think they can last.

We came in town for a tournament and decided to try this location while waiting to check into the hotel. I know some reviews mentioned it was dirty but it was clean when we went. There were 8 of us and our waitress was wonderful and didn't give us any hassle for needing three separate bills. The owner even came over a few times and he was great as well. Gave us some additional cheese for our fries without asking so that was nice. Alhamdullilah. We all like our food which consisted of a garden veggie omelette, fingers & fries, mickey mouse pancake, texas burger, cajun chicken sandwich, and the Philly sandwich. The Philly was mine and I almost made a return trip when I left to get another one. The only negative thing that some other reviews mentioned that I will agree with is the table edges were sticky. It was an unclean type of sticky though. It felt like it had a protective tape around the edges and when it was peeled off some residue remained. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

We are fans of diners and I always enjoy all day breakfast. This was our first time at this diner. Really enjoyed our meals. By the shear number of customers constantly coming in you could tell this was a favorite spot for the locals. We both enjoyed our omelets and were waited on by Debbie, who was very attentive. It took a little longer than ususal to get our food but you never know how many people were working in the kitchen and it did not spoil our visit.

Revisited for Sunday breakfast. Got a waffle with hash browns. It was OK. Not horrible, not amazing. Waffle was very good, hash browns had a greasy smell to them. Also, even though I know my table was wiped down because I saw other tables wiped down, it was sticky around the edge which was annoying (I didn't point it out to the staff so shame on me.) The restaurant was less than half full but service was spotty: my order was taken promptly, food was delivered, but there was no follow-up until I got the check. This diner remains the best in the area but that isn't a particularly high bar. It's perfectly fine if I want something quick and closeby, especially if dining solo, but if I cared to drive a bit further there are better options.

Service was excellent. One of the coffee cups had lipstick on it. I had the French toast. It was completely flavorless. My son had an omelette which he found underwhelming. The home fries are horrible.

Our food was made wrong, they never gave us our 2 sides.... The floors and tables were all sticky like nobody cleans the place. Not to mention the plates were dirty with food residue. Health violation somewhere?

We did takeout. Food was at awesome and servings were big but there were some issues: - my meal was supposed to come with soup and garlic bread. They didn't give us either. - the quesadilla which was supposed to just be cheese came with chicken and vegetables. - they tried to give our order to someone else picking up food, but luckily the other customer noticed. It's still a little rough around the edges but hopefully they will get it figured out.

Really great first visit! Portions are huge, staff is friendly and fast and the food was delicious!!! I got the empire platter which is enormous and a side of country gravy and was full all day. Definitely will be back!
