Just got the second worst steak of my life. Normally this place serves exceptional food. Ordered the black diamond steak which I’ve had before but this time the steak tastes like the meat was old and expired, it was also ordered medium-rare, what I received was well done and even the color of the steak gave me the impression that this slab of meat was old and expired. It was inedible and I wasted my money.

Second visit. This time for food. It was good. Nice variety on tap and large menu to choose from. Prices are right, and I feel like my money was well spent. Porch for before or after dinner is a bonus. I drove over an hour to visit here, so don't hesitate to stop if you are driving by.

The Trout Run Hotel is a fun place if you are in the area. The food is very good, the atmosphere inviting and scrupulously clean, and the staff are very friendly. My favorite guilty pleasure is their ranch pizza with pickles; it is a surprisingly tasty treat. Try it. You will love it.

We dined at this establishment on 2/21/24. Kudos to the awesome waitress, basically working by herself! Even though she was busy, she always had time to check on us! I witnessed patrons helping remove dirty dishes for her, just to help her clean up. Very friendly atmosphere and always love their food. Definitely a place I frequent and would recommend!
