I stopped in Tunkhannock for rest stop and breakfast and happened to find this place along Tioga Street. There was parking on the street so I pulled in. I could tell when I entered it was a local hangout and filled with hardhat workers as most of the tables were taken. I sat at the counter and a pleasant waitress greeted me and brought coffee. I ordered two eggs, sausage links and home fries. There was a TV across from the counter with the news on and I watched while listening...
Great little hometown diner. Excellent food and service. Will definitely go back again if I'm in the area! The walls all being decorated with yearbook themed pictures is a very neat and nice touch.
What a great little breakfast place! Driving through on our way home to NH. We gave scrapple a try, if you don’t know then I’d describe it as the bits of ground pork left in the bottom of the pan after cooking and pressed into a loaf and fried. Not something I want to eat twice. But the service was great and the food was delicious.
