I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while. My wife and I made the trip finally. First off, we walked in and I immediately got that “this is not what I was expecting” vibe. I should have left, but we decided to give it a go.

First, with a place with “tap house” in the name, there are no taps here. Not a single beer to be had?

Second, my wife got a coffee and an “egg cup”. The server proceeded to take a pre made egg thing from a fridge and whip it in a microwave. By the time it made it out, it was microwave rubbery. I ordered a turkey and bacon ciabatta, but was quickly informed there was no bacon. So a ham and cheese panini was the order. My $10 meal came with a generic bag of Members Mark chips. Between the $5 panini and 50 cent bag of chips, I think I paid too much.

Maybe this place gets good reviews based solely off their coffee. I don’t know. But I’d not go back there again.

I’m almost certain that the majority of muffins come from Sam’s just like my chips. I wanted to love this place. But no beer on tap, microwaved eggs, and overprice panini, I just left confused and mostly disappointed 🤷‍♂️

A cute little spot to check out if you’re in the area.
Their matcha is a little different than what I’ve had locally, but it was good. I got it with strawberry cold foam, as recommended, which was delicious.
The jalapeño bagel was very good - crisp outside and soft interior. It had a lovely little kick to it. The everything cream cheese way *way* too salty, but I was grateful it came on the side for that reason.

We were in Tyrone for 2 days and stopped by The Brew for some coffee on a chilly Saturday morning - thinking it would both be the pick me up to start the day and a little heat to warm us up!
The young couple who were working were not very welcoming (but it seems most of the people we ran into in Tyrone, are not the most friendly group)

Now onto the coffee - I ordered a marshmallow something, and hubs ordered a chai latte
The drinks were luke warm and both lacked flavor. I tried hubs too and I didn't taste much chai. Both tasted like luke warm water.

I also questioned the food selection to see what, if anything was gluten free. And the workers couldn't really tell me much (I was told to look at the label for the ingredients) - so we decided to pass.

I'm sure maybe the drip coffee could be good - but latte's might not be their thing.....

Cute decor though - I loved the ceiling lighting fixture.

Literally the worst iced latte I've ever had. Coffee is mediocre at best
