IHOP used to be the place to go we would come here like once a week me and my friends then me and my then boyfriend (now husband) used to come here with my kids and solo a few times with bad service, undercooked or just bad food in general we didn’t come for 3 years we recently came back because we heard good things and missed it, sad to see it’s still in bad shape the waitress couldn’t be very attentive because it seemed like she was doing everything alone which wasn’t her fault she was very nice, the food was ok for the most part just not like it used to be.

The food was good, but some dishes came out cold on two separate occasions when we dined there, and the restaurant wasn't crowded. The service was lacking; we went without drink refills, and our food was again served cold. The atmosphere is acceptable, but the service needs improvement.

We are newer to the area and had not yet been to this location. My kids wanted to go so we went one evening recently. We waited for maybe 20-25 minutes in the front with nobody coming to seat us. Some people there before us left. My kids were getting upset, so I was about to suggest we find someone or leave. A couple came out after their meal was over and said they’d suggest leaving. That they too waited a long time to be seated, waited a long time for service, then their food was either incorrect or not cooked properly/safely. That was it for us and we left. There were maybe 2 tables occupied in the whole restaurant. It seems to be a common issue unfortunately so we will not be returning.

Wasn’t even busy but yet we walked in and had to wait 5 minutes for someone to come up front and seat us. Once we were seated we ordered, the guy that took our order couldn’t even understand us and I had to repeat myself several times, I asked for blueberry pancakes was given buttermilk instead. My significant other was supposed to get pancakes with his meal but was given toast instead. If you even want to call it that, it was burnt and hard as a rock. How do you mess up something as simple as toast??? Not to mention we waited at least 40 minutes for our food to be brought to us. When we were ready to pay we decided to go back up front as we didn’t have time to wait for our waiter to come back and collect our method of payment and we were looked at by two different employees who didn’t even bother to ask us if we needed assistance but instead walked away. Thankfully, we used a gift card so we didn’t waste our own money. We will not be back!

Up until yesterday,2/21/25 we have avoided Uniontown IHOP like the plague because every time we visit it's nothing but awful service, food was not edible. We went yesterday only because we were getting new tires on our car at walmart and my husband was hungry. We walk down in the cold. Walk into ihop, no one greeted us, 3 employees saw us standing at the hostess stand yet no one said a word. Finally, a nice gentleman (didnt get his name) came up to us, said hi and asked if we preferred booth or table. Took us to a booth, was very professional and nice. Our waitress comes out, proceeds to move us to a different booth, didn't say hi, didn't say sorry, just moved us. We ordered drinks and food, food took about 25 minutes to come out, my husbands burger was not cooked how he wanted, it might as well have come from the cow itself. My egg omelet was not fully cooked. We had to ask for silverware, which was not properly washed. The whole experience made me feel sick, I couldn't finish eating, I felt sick the whole time we were there. Absolutely disgusting. The manager also needs an attitude check. Should be greeting his paying customers, not ignoring them. I get that no one is perfect and it takes strength to work in the restaurant industry but this place is not making any progress to improve.

We’ve been customers for the last 5 years or so. However in the past year the service was awful. Wait times were over a half hour, mistakes on orders, and being forgotten about.

Today 2/11/25 we decided to come back after a couple month break. Our waiter Devin was extremely nice and took our order without any problems. Food was brought out nice and hot. The food even tasted better than I remember and I usually get the same food every time.

The waiter Devin was also friendly and complimented the show we were watching on our phone, good to have another solo leveling watcher out there. We were extremely happy with our service and the quality of the food.

Because of this we are now looking forward to coming back more often. Thank you again Devin for the great service, the talk, and information about the better changes in this restaurant.

Definitely not coming back to this place!
First I ordered sausage links they served me 2 hotdogs with season on them, said they were polish sausage. I said it's supposed to be sausage links.
I then ordered sausage gravy they gave me country gravy. Big difference between the 2.

Honestly just overall terrible.

We came in and waited almost 10 minutes to be seated. No one ever came up. They weren’t busy. They had a single table that we could see. We then called them to try and get someone’s attention: we could hear the workers in the back talking about how they weren’t answering the phone. Finally after 15 minutes, we decided to leave. As we were walking out, a dark haired girl came up and was giving us dirty looks until we got in the car.
I wish I could rate the food as my significant other really wanted iHop as we don’t have one near us.

Would not recommend. I’ve heard terrible things about the iHop in Uniontown and unfortunately- they lived up to it!

Service was very very slow, we only ordered pancakes and they came to our table cold, the gluten-free pancakes tasted sour, there were only 2 at our table and both orders were wrong.
I see no good reason for me to ever go back to this location.

My wife food she asked for no mushrooms and she asked not to have any and when they took her food back there is still mushrooms on it and her eggs taste like a gymsocks it was really bad and the salmon that I had was not fully done all in all it was terrible

My family of four walked in around 9:30 pm. Instantly got greeted by Cameron M. He seemed frustrated from the start that we even came in. He sits us down and gets our drink order, he did bring those back pretty quickly and then got our food order. My son wanted the happy face combo on the kids menu. Once he brings that out to him, I see a chocolate pancake. Was expecting a butter milk pancake since we were never asked what kind he wanted. I asked Cameron for a small plate to cut his pancake which took him 10 minutes to bring out. Once I got it cut for my son, my son attempted it but unfortunately didn't like it. He took one bite and I tried sending it back but it took Cameron another 10 minutes to come check on us. When he did come back we asked him for a regular single stack. Again took a long time to bring back to our table. At this point the rest of us had finished our meals. Cameron never once even came to see if we needed drink refills. Once we got the check we noticed we were still charged for the happy face combo (6.99) not that it's alot of money but it's the point my 5 yr old didn't even eat it. Once we got to the counter to pay we kindly asked for a discount but Cameron came at us with " I didn't charge you for the single stack" right he didn't but essentially we are now asked to pay 6.99 for one pancake. We were very disappointed with our experience and won't be returning if that's how they treat customers. Not only all that but my 8 yr old didn't get everything he ordered it we didn't make a scene about it. I refused to leave a tip for poor quality service.

Pending lawsuit against this Ihop location. General Manager Hayssam Saeb Serhan is the defendant. Im a former employee. Not a disgruntled employee but an individual who believes in right and wrong. I will not tolerate my rights being violated based on my religious preferences. Despite other reviews this place is an absolute disgrace to the food service and restaurant industry and needs to be shut down.

Kitchen is absolutely disgusting. Employees don't wash their hands or wear gloves. Manager forces people to work with the flu. I've witness cooks dropping food on the floor and putting it back on the plate instead of remaking it. All if the servers u worked with are all amazing and do a good job. There's two cooks back there that are great cooks. Hygiene and food service safety is a problem and I suggest if you enjoy your health stay away from this particular Ihop. The cook that was ServSafe Certified (me) I was suspended for calling off during a winter storm. I abided by all rules and regulations and was thrown under the bus.

Again, I'm not a disgruntled former employee. Im an experienced cook who believes in safety, consistency and right and wrong. The PA Attorney General's Office, the US Civil Rights Division and the US Department of Commerce have been contacted with my complaints regarding this IHOP Franchise. I look forward to the downfall of this location.
