Building is an architectural marvel. The murals inside are beautiful and this building holds tons of history. My problems with it are that the bells now sound out of tune and keep getting off time. Also, only three stars because the Board of Directors needs to be educated since they keep cutting budgets while simultaneously raising tuition. To them: YOU DO REALIZE YOU ARE RUINING OUR REPUTATION RIGHT??!
Was there for a new student orientation. Thought I'd get this video up of the clock chiming at 10am. Google shortens videos to 30 seconds, sorry if you don't get to hear all 10 chimes, but they happened...
Old main is a favorite not only as a photogenic building but also as an historic symbol of the university. It is the backdrop for many group photos and summer events. The lawn is a great green space for soaking rays or throwing frisbees. The tour inside is good too.
