Completely dissatisfied with this restaurant ever since the updates to the building. I order a 6 pc that came out burnt. I had to return all the way to the restaurant to get my order remade the staff did a great job of accommodating but after waiting another 15 minutes my new batch of chicken it was undercooked, and dripping blood. I showed the receptionist the undercooked chicken her response was “if I cooked it longer it would be burnt.“ Don’t spend your money in a place you have to decide between over and undercooked chicken I’ll post the pictures to my instagram

As Salaamu Alaikum I marked the food as a one because I spent $50 on food and I ordered the shrimp tikka masala and didn’t get any rice with my food. Only a bowl of shrimp and sauce.

I ordered zinger chicken wrap and chicken shawarma from this restaurant, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The food tasted stale and old, and it was completely against expectations. No sauce was used at all, and instead of shawarma, they provided naan without any explanation. Additionally, the quality of the meat was very poor and had a bad smell, which made it difficult to eat. Overall, it was a very bad experience.

Very disappointed. I always ask for NO SPICY, and they still make everything spicy every time. Today I ordered chicken over rice, chicken kebab over rice (both no spicy), and two cheeseburgers for my kids. Everything came extremely spicy. My wife and I struggled to eat, and my kids couldn’t eat at all.
I called them asking to at least replace the kids’ cheeseburgers because they were starving and didn’t eat dinner. Their response: “Next time.” No concern at all for the situation. Completely unacceptable. I will not order again in this place.

Got chicken biryani paid 16.99, got two pieces of small leg piece, half of which was missing what am i suppose to do with so much rice? Which literally two small bites of chicken. Kindly provide enough chicken to cover up the rice ratio. Dissapionted, if i pay extra i expect something
I stopped by Ajwa Halal Restaurant recently and honestly, I was not expecting to be blown away — but their chai and fish fry completely surprised me.
☕ Chai – 10/10 Their chai is on a whole different level. The moment I took the first sip, I felt that perfect balance of strong tea flavor, rich creaminess, and just the right amount of sweetness. It has that authentic desi taste that warms your soul. Smooth, bold, and incredibly satisfying — the type of chai that makes you order a second cup without thinking. One of the BEST chai experiences I’ve had in New Jersey. Absolutely must-try!
🐟 Fish Fry – Fresh, Flavorful & Crispy The fish fry was another highlight. Crispy on the outside, soft and perfectly cooked inside. The spices were spot on — flavorful without being overpowering, and everything tasted freshly prepared. It reminded me of traditional Pakistani-style fried fish, the kind you usually only get at good home kitchens. Light, tasty, and very well seasoned.
⭐ Overall Ajwa Halal Restaurant really delivered tonight. The chai alone is worth the trip, and the fish fry makes it even better. Great casual spot, friendly service, and solid food late at night.
Highly recommend trying both — you won’t regret it!
