I grew up going to Emack & Bolio's in a house in New Jersey with old sewing machine tables...best ice cream! Then I found them when I went to college in Boston, on Newberry Street...what a surprise! And now I can't believe it, but my favorite local ice cream shop (Crave Creamery) seems to also be Emack & Bolio's! Great homemade ice cream.

I went to the Emack and Bolio’s in Albany NY and thought it was my favorite ice cream place I had ever been to, but this one is… quite different. It is very small and looks pretty bleak inside, with only one two-person table shoved against the wall. The service was pretty good, though. The man who gave my mom her ice cream got her the wrong flavor, but he told her as soon as he realized and seemed apologetic about it. Plus, he made up for it by giving us a free mochi donut!The biggest disappointment was the ice cream. The Albany location had what I thought was the best chocolate chip cookie dough ever, but the same flavor here was mediocre at best. It almost tasted freezer-burnt. I tried my sister’s smoothies, and while good, they were tarter than I would like. The mochi donuts were excellent, though.Overall, I was pretty disappointed with this location, and while it’s not a bad stop for a quick dessert, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it.Dietary restrictions: They have vegan ice cream available for a dollar extra.Parking: There is a single row of parking spots in front of the storefront, and it was full when we got there on a dreary Sunday evening. We made a loop and came back, and luckily a spot had opened up, but I wouldn’t count on being able to park right at the store.

Cute place! Good heaping servings of ice cream. I went here thinking they would have a large variety of vegan / non-dairy-- nope. Just chocolate. The other flavors are inventive and delicious. Not as overpowering with fresh fruits (I.e. strawberry) but s solid place to go and of course it smells great inside! The service was at par. Friendly clean and attentive. I may return but my quest for a shop with both vegan and regular variety continues

Stumbled into this shop inside Mochi Heaven, and boy, what a treat! My favorite: coconut almond bar ice cream! But also, mochi donuts. Friendly service and nice, clean space. I'll definitely be back!

Newly opened mochi donut spot located right next to Hmart, the donut was 4/5, and the smoothie was decent too and they have interesting toppings such as Ginseng and Bee pollen, those sounds really healthy if that's what you are into. I just got a boring peach yogurt smoothie. Staff was friendly and I think there was only 1 table.

OMG!!! Firstly the Gentleman at the front was extremely friendly and helpful. He then let me try some of the products and i was sold. The donuts were warm, crispy, chewy and delicious. The ice cream was creamy and flavorful and the Milk tea was amazingly refreshing. If you want a sweet treat or just some light and refreshing I definitely recommend you stop by.

They’ve improved a lot since opening last year & made their display window & chalkboard enticing with all their new offerings. There’s a big variety of mochi donut flavours which I appreciate— Wishing it was easier for them to have all their listed flavours in stock at once, but you can’t have everything. Corn dogs are solid (and made with beef hotdogs! pleasing, since I don’t eat pork), but just not my thing. Didn’t enjoy the boba tea I had around when they first opened though, but I’ll assume it was an off day. Hoping they get one or two more seating options in there soon!

The place was quiet and clean when we walked in. We was welcomed with a smile. The Mochi donuts was not as great as the price listed for subpar donuts. My daughter also got the chocolate ice cream which wasnt so great because of the ice burn that was in it. Also, the guy that was at the counter i felt like was being a little too pushy with the sale. Like half a dozen mochi donuts and an over priced ice frozed cream wasnt enough.
