Authentic Korean food, mom and pop type of restaurant. I love that they actually use charcoal instead of an electric grill!

The service was poor.
Felt unseen the entire time.
Food was in small portion.
Not worth the money.
Never going again.

My fried rice had a strange smell so I called over the owner, but she didn't seem to care and brushed me off. I reluctantly took a bite and that was it. Had to walk out.

As soon as I walk in, notice I’m the only customer and so I walk over to a table take a seat. Woman owner tells me to sit at this other table with a nasty attitude. No big deal, I blow it off. Then she goes in the back and proceeds to talk shit about me. I’m Korean and they don’t know I can understand what they’re saying, or maybe they just don’t care. Interesting. Order my food and can hear the microwave running. My noodles came out and tasted mid at best. Definitely microwave quality but the Kimchi was good. NOT coming back.

This place is disgusting, the food was nasty and the entire place is dirty. It's also not properly ventilated for a BBQ spot, a table next to us was grilling and the entire restaurant filled with smoke. Not sure how this place is even open.

The only other spot that I'm aware of the does wood charcoal Korean bbq is Kim's Restaurant( Kim's BBQ) in the Olney section of North Philly. The prices here at Nagwon Garden are way more affordable. Wood charcoal adds a nice flavor to the meat. Most other places use either electric or gas table grills. The other thing is, when you call them, the lady answers in Korean. They don't advertise that they use wood charcoal in English, only in Korean. So you know it's an authentic and legit experience! Take it from a Korean person.

Pretty good Korean food! Ordered 3 servings of pork belly and it was a bigger serving size than most Korean bbq places. Also gave us free watermelon at the end of our meal!

I have no idea why some people are raving about. As a Korean who had been to so many Korean restaurants this place is by far the worst place. We’ve ordered Pork belly and it was frozen and freeze dried for God sake. It had funny smell as well.
I would never come back to this pace nor would I recommend to anyone. It’s shame they don’t have 0 star.

First class tofu chige, generous and delicious seafood pancakes. However, the charcoal grilled short ribs and spicy pork were amazing. Not too sweet and the charcoal adds smoke with drying out the meat. Highly recommend
