A J's Restaurant & Lounge

I thought it would be regular generic bar food but it was actually the best meal I've had in vandergrift

This is the worst place to eat at in Vandergrift the food is okay bet I honestly wouldn't trust it. Reason why I wouldn't trust it is cos the place is closed more than it's open now im talking about 4 days closed and 3 days open how do they ever have fresh food you'll think with them constantly refreezing it and unfreezing it. Another thing how are they even making any profit from the days they are open to stay in business. The place is up for sell and in my opinion they should just closed the whole thing down and wait for a buyer.

Over priced food sucked steak was chewy and fatty spent over 130 bucks for just 3 meals it was so not worth it

Ajs has been around forever and I can remember going there as a child. The food has always been good. Service is usually good. The 4 stars is due to atmosphere. It's very small and there's always a wait at dinner time. I don't particularly care to be that close to other patrons at dinner but that's just my personal preference. If it weren't for this I'd rate a 5.

Went to Witching family Night in Vandergrift...got there early so we decided to stop in at Aj's grab a bite n few drink's. It was raining anyway's.Awesome service by bartender Joanne...Cheese Steak hoagie's with frie's and cole slaw was delicious!Met few guy's from Altoona who were fun chatting with...all n all we had a great time.

JoAnn and Andy are fantastic! They greet you when you come in and serve you some of the best food in the valley! Highly recommend trying this wonderful hometown eatery, you will not be disappointed!

Parking: We never have a problem there is a big lot across the street and parking on both sides.

AJ'S is the kind of family owned independent place we should be supporting. Unfortunately the owners are getting on in years and it's time to pass the torch. Let's help them go out on a positive note and show potential buyers how profitable the place can be. EAT AT AJ'S!
