Fantastic choice for dinner; a real stand out from other Italian restaurants in the area. We had the cioppino linguine and rack of lamb special. Both were delicious. The lamb was the best I ever had; better than what I grill for myself at home. It was served au jus, with small new potatoes and thin baby asparagus. The sauce was very good. The cioppino linguine dish contained clams, mussels, shrimp, and crab meat. Linguine was cooked just right. (The presentation of this dish was not great; see picture.) The house salad is actually pretty special, and the roasted beet salad with pistachios and goat cheese was fantastic.
I cannot recommend the bruschetta, it was served on thick toasted bread (or sliced rolls maybe) that were the consistency of croutons. The toppings were not great; the predominant flavor was garlic. We also had the mushroom soup special. My dining partner described it as “very good”, I thought it was just “good”. The soup is created at the table when the server pours the hot mushroom broth into the bowl containing the solid ingredients. Classy!
Bread basket is two large freshly baked dinner rolls. Olive oil and two kinds of purees are served with the rolls. A nice upgrade from the olive oil you typically get at Italian restaurants. Strong garlic flavor in one of the purees, and that actually seems to be a theme here – lots of garlic in the dishes. We did not order dessert, and I’m regretting that right now. Based on what I saw on other tables, dessert is better here than what you would find at most other restaurants. Next time I’ll try to save room.
Service was professional and friendly, and mostly prompt. This is a place where your server might use a crumber tool on your table cloth between servings. BYOB, parking lot is small, but plenty of on-street parking.

Went to the resturant for a special dinner and apparently chef Augusto was in although we didn't see him. The food was lackluster as was the atmosphere and the most off-putting thing was that the server dumped hot coffee on my husband. I would have expected at the least they'd remove the charge for the coffee, since he wore more then he drank, or make some offer of amends, but there was no offer of anything. They did give him a napkin full of ice (?!). The service was forgetful. No cream and sugar were brought with coffee, utensils were removed before dessert, and no new ones were provided, and we didn't see anyone after dessert was served for a long, long time. On the food side, the mushroom soup was really thin and bland... no one enjoyed it among the 3 who ordered it. The lamb was delicious and the shrimp/ chicken dish my husband got was great. Gnocchi were undersalted. My parents had come often to the restaurant and said it wasn't up to par. It was our first time and last time.

This is a follow-up with respect to their hours. Augusto's is now open on Sundays.
Augusto's may not be the most opulent space to dine but it is genuinely a warm and cozy place. Friendly service starts with the chef/owner, Augusto and then onto the rest of the staff. Augusto's offers an outstanding menu that covers all the bases. There is something here for everyone individual's taste. Augusto's also offers a 4 for $49.00 (app, salad, entree and dessert) on Tuesday through Thursday AND they offer choices from the entire menu (not just limited selections). The caveat is that the entire table must participate. Augusto's is also a BYOB. They also boast having their own in house pastry chef. Please find them on RESY.com for reservations or simply call if you find no availability. Sometimes booking engine platforms are not accurate. Please enjoy this warm and inviting restaurant. You won't be sorry.

Finally got to visit my friend’s restaurant! We were NOT disappointed!! Excellent food, attentive staff in a quiet warm atmosphere. The menu made it so hard to decide but the Crab Cakes were the best I’ve ever eaten. The food at the whole table was amazing. Looking forward to dining again when we’re back in town!

This restaurant is the best! The owner actually seated us and took our order because, as you know, help is limited these days. He is committed to excellent service and food. The Caesar salad is a treat-- it comes with a piece of toasted cracker all around it-- it is huge and the cracker is delicious. I had sea bass and it was the best I have ever had- my daughter-in-law had lamb and my son had a fish dish that had crab, mussels and clams. The portions are plentiful and the food is delectable. I highly recommend this place for a delicious meal and a special night out. They have a great special during the week - $49 for 4 courses-- totally worth it-- just don't eat lunch that day!

Please use RESY.com to find and reserve this wonderful space. They have had issues changing over from OpenTable to RESY, with OpenTable being the thorn in the process. Cost them some patronage when both engines said there were no tables available. Simply call them to confirm tables and times. You will not be disappointed.

Food was delicious, prepared properly and served hot. Service was right-on, not too slow or too fast. The restaurant was clean and orderly.
Augusto's is my new go to place. It's simply best restaurant in the area for top of the line food. I had the New York Strip steak and it was best steak I ever had...Period!! MuchoGusto!
