The service was quite good. Our server was attentive and pleasant. I would have liked a little bit more of a variety. The location was spectacular. I loved it out in the middle of nowhere

My chicken Cordon Bleu was excellent! Hubby, who is a steak snob, thought the Delmonico was good but the onions on top tasted "off" a bit. Atmosphere was cozy and inviting! Staff was friendly, attentive and efficient!! Will return for sure!
Called 3 times tonight to order dinner but Mitchell was too busy to take it. Been calling n getting every Sunday n other days. Very unprofessional n the owners must not care about customer service. Now I know why people in town say go elsewhere! Yes Iâm mad!

We found this place by doing a search and So Pleased we did!! The food was awesome (you need to try the Seafood Chowder, it was out of this world delicious!!) and all was reasonably priced. Addison was our server. She took Great care of us and made us feel right at home!! We will definitely be back to try other options on the menu. Thanks for giving us a great and relaxing experience!!
This is our third time visiting the Forester. Itâs very close to our cabin and such a well decorated little restaurant. Our first visit was ok, service was slow. Our second visit the food was pretty bad. We decided to try it again thinking we just caught them on a bad day. We sat at the bar and listened to the bar tender, Tony I think (wouldnât tell me his name), complaining the whole time while making very simple drinks. After about 20 minutes of us staring at him he finally took our drink order. He said he would take our food order soon but we waited another 30 minutes while he still wouldnât take our order. We finally asked if he would take our order since we were ordering salads and soup. He said he would get to us when he could and that patrons with reservations were more important. After saying this I confronted him and asked if he was serious. He said yes and we said we could leave if he didnât want us there. He took our menus and told us to go. We were appalled and asked for the manager. We were told there was no manager on duty and the owner was away and would not answer their phone. We left disgusted and disappointed. Unfortunately we very much donât recommend this establishment. Hopefully down the road they get new ownership because it has so much potential.
