Amazing food! We absolutely love this restaurant. My sister and her husband travel from Jersey just to meet us at Joy Chalet for great Chinese food. The owners and family are so nice and make dining there enjoyable. For family and friends of bigger parties they have a room that we reserve. I cannot say enough good things about our experiences!

The men’s bathroom really needed to be cleaned. The mirror was really dirty and there were cleaning products underneath the sink.
The dumpling part of the pork gyoza was stale or dry. The salmon on our sushi was apparently not fresh and a little bit slimy. Thankfully, neither my wife or I got food sickness from eating there.
I was not able to enjoy the food because of the sanitation concerns that I had and the lack of appetite that I had because of the sanitation concerns.

I gave the wrong rating on delivery app. I apologize. Restaurant was a 4 and I'd def get the lunch special again. For me personally there was too much oil and it was just it's own layer hiding my delicious broccoli and brown sauce. Rice was old. Hard. Had two foreign objects. But that's ok. The food was good. Reminded me of Chinese food in the neighborhood growing up. Real nostalgia moment. Overall, I'd order again. Hold the oil and random occasional crunch. Thanks

I went online to the website, It was so quick and easy to place an order. They made it very simple if you wanted to replace an ingredient or take something out of your food. This was my first time trying this restaurant and I enjoyed the food.

This was my first time here. I live in NJ and met my cousins for lunch. The Sushi Lunch was incredible. It was very fresh looking and well presented. I only wish I could order it again and take it home. Instead, I ordered the Beef w. Hot & Spicy Sauce. I have had it at other restaurants. This was the best version of that dish. My wife had Mei Fun. She never had that before. It was delicious. The servers were very friendly and made us feel welcome. I can not wait to visit my cousins again so I could go back to Joy Chalet Cuisine.

We ordered sushi and Chinese food. The sushi was very good. The appetizer was a small portion compared to other restaurants in the area, it was crab Rangoon. The entrée was mongolian beef, not like any mongolian beef that I have had. It was mostly onion, Scallion and a very small amount of beef! Very bland in flavor. I probably would go back for the sushi but skip the Chinese food.

We got the summer roll, vegetarian dumplings, scallion pancake, Szechuan chicken with green beans, and baby bok choy with mushroom. It was all delicious. This was my first time having a scallion pancake and I would go back just for that, it was so good! The girl up front and our waitress (who was maybe the owner?) were both nice, but I really appreciated how our waitress took the time to talk to me about China when I mentioned it's somewhere I'd love to visit and wanted to learn Mandarin. We will definitely be back!

They seem to be under new management, which is unfortunate because the decline is precipitous.
Last night was the 3rd strike. The food was bland, even the Hunan and other spicy dishes. The vegetables are overcooked. The black bean sauce is gluey. Twice we asked for brown rice and it wasn’t cooked well. The people are friendly but the food simply is not well prepared and all but flavorless.
It’s back to driving to Chinatown. 🤷🏻♀️

I’ll start with stating I don’t typically provide this type of feedback but this needs to be known. This place has fallen off significantly since new ownership. I know it’s hard to find good help out there but having two children answering the phones and running the front counter is an absolute joke! My last two experiences and feedback to them directly (the adults) have proven that they don’t care about their future. Zero care about my experiences and my feedback to them. To the owners, you need to understand we CHOOSE to patronize your business. We will now CHOOSE to patronize another Chinese restaurant in the area.
