I love Italian ice, and there seem to be many Rita's shops in my normal travels. Unfortunately what I've noticed is that sometimes the flavors are inconsistent. If the ices are made on site, I've tasted lemon ice that doesn't have a lot of flavor to others that are delicious with real fruit pieces included. The latter is my choice, otherwise why spend the money on " handmade " when a container from the frozen food aisle will provide the same taste?
Took the family there for the first time since moving to Warrington recently. Was greeted with smiles but not as big as the smiles on my children's faces after getting their water ice!
We sometimes go to Rita's for lunch. Get the gelati with vanilla ice cream and root beer to make our version of a root beer float. But today I got the sugar free tangerine flavor. It was so yummy tasting like a cream sickle without all the extra calories. At least this Rita's still opens at 12:00 because the one on Limekiln pk in Warrington now opens at 2:00. That's disappointing.
