We stayed at the RV resort and decided to have lunch at the restaurant. Our $18 warm large pretzel appetizer was a disaster as it was burnt. My BBQ wings were tasty as well as my fries. My wife wasn’t impressed with her BLT sandwich as it came without mayonnaise and the lettuce was wilted. Our granddaughter had plain pasta which she liked. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive.

We stopped here after a long trip to Pennsylvania. It is far into the woods, we began to doubt that there would be a restaurant at all. I understand that it is in their off-season, but there was only one waitress and it took quite a long time to be seated. Nobody was at the door and we were not sure it was open. Regardless, once we were seated the service was fine. We were the only ones in the restaurant section, the rest of the customers were at the bar. The karaoke was fun to listen to. The food was good. Overall a good, but perhaps interesting, visit.

Waited over an hour for meals. Cold food, sent back and was still so cold that the baked potato would not melt butter. Very disappointed. We were there to celebrate a special day and could not finish our meals. Very high price and no offer to make right. Will NEVER go back!

We stopped in early yesterday evening. The three of us had a great time unwinding after a day fishing the lake. Brooke was behind the bar and very hospitable. We got a Burger, Cheesesteak, and the Alfredo. All were perfect. Thanks for a great time!

My husband and I both ordered the steak with Bernaise sauce with baked potato and asparagus. My steak came out with our friends meals and my husband's meal would "be out in 2 .inutes". It arrived between 12 to 15 minutes later. The steak itself was good but when I asked about the Bernaise sauce the waitress said the chef doesn't know how to make it. My baked potato was lukewarm and I got 3 small asparagus. When my husband 's dinner came out we were finished our dinners. VERY DISAPPOINTED. We have eaten at Happy Acres quite a few times over the years and never got cold food or was misled by the menu. The waitress got snappy when I said I was disappointedI was afraid to tell her my potato was cold.
The positive was that they have the only internet in an area where cell service is very sparse. They had no issue with us taking our time and using the internet. We went for dinner and were told that the kitchen was being updated, though they were advertising that their kitchen was newly renovated. They said that they had a buffet with several dishes, and that the waitress would serve us from the buffet. They had Chicken Alfredo, haddock, meatloaf with potatoes and gravy, chili, and clam chowder. The meatloaf was just okay, but the potatoes and gravy were disgustingly salty. My husband said the Chicken Alfredo was not very good, but the clam chowder was good. I tasted the chili and found it greasy. The service was good, but every time the waitress came to the table, she was sniffling, like she needed to blow her nose. I would not go back to, or recommend this place.

We had a big group and they were so accommodating. Very kind staff. Potent mixed drinks and solid food selection.If I weren't with my family, I would have gone back just to sit at the bar a bit! We were camping right up the hill so it was a pleasant walk to boot!
