Have been going here with the family for years and it’s always great! Excellent food,
A+ service, comfortable atmosphere and nice selection of beers and cocktails. They even have live music on some nights but it’s not super loud just perfect background level. The meatloaf, pot pie, steak, salads and burgers are all A+. Go now!! Like now!!

I reluctantly went on Valentine's Day thinking it would be chaotic due to the holiday, and boy was I pleasantly surprised! Food was top notch, service even better, and the atmosphere was perfect for a night out with my husband. They were very busy but it did not negatively impact our dinner. It was very well run. We will definitely be back soon!

Staff were extremely open and friendly. Service was excellent and attentive. We enjoyed and appreciated the historical decor and ambiance. My family enjoyed the experience and the food. We are looking forward to coming back.

Went there for lunch with my daughter. Food was meh. Service was friendly but slow for business lunch. My main problem with the place was that it was freezing. I had asked the to hostess to someplace warm and preferably buy a booth. They were able to sit us by a booth but it felt like the window was open. We eventually had to move to a table just to warm up.
The salad that I ordered was all right but the hamburger that my daughter ordered was way too sloppy and she was unable to keep the sandwich together after a couple bites. Just way too much moisture for a burger.
After all and said and done it was nearly 50 bucks for a business launch with no drinks, not even a soft drink.

We had a delicious lunch at Black Powder Tavern. Our server, Alyssa, was great—professional, timely and friendly. The food was very good and we always enjoy the atmosphere. We would recommend it to anyone for lunch or dinner!

Visited twice and the food was great both times (onion soup, pork cutlet, chicken burger). Nice cozy vibe inside, both the dining and bar area. Bartenders made great cocktails too.
Always a comfortable neighborhood place to dine. Chicken pot pie was delicious on a cold wintry night!

Our first time at this restaurant. Kids menu is great. Server, Damon, checked back several times to make sure everything was satisfactory. Food was excellent.
I was here for the first time and the steak here is so delicious I don't remember when I ate delicious food there... I advise you to be here and definitely try the steak... the place is delicious, the soul is very relaxed... the people here are nice, calm, cozy and safe

We have enjoyed Black Powder a few times in the last year. The food is consistently good to great! I love the ambience—especially in the evening! The noise level is also always good which is nice for a night out. My only complaint is that our service was very slow last night. We didn't see our server for quite awhile and when we were finished, he disappeared again. It happens but of course this time, we were trying to get our check promptly as it was snowing. We'll be back for sure-it's a nice place to eat!
We were there on a Saturday night- in the back room where they put the kids. A little noisy! Food & service were good- very attentive staff.
The food was good and the atmosphere was noisy. There were a lot of families with children. It was fine, just noisy. The service was great.
