We have enjoyed Black Powder a few times in the last year. The food is consistently good to great! I love the ambience—especially in the evening! The noise level is also always good which is nice for a night out. My only complaint is that our service was very slow last night. We didn't see our server for quite awhile and when we were finished, he disappeared again. It happens but of course this time, we were trying to get our check promptly as it was snowing. We'll...
A very cool, old-timey vibe with live music (sax player who sang), friendly employees, and lots of wood touches make the place fun. Beef cubes in the chili, great seasoning in the Cajun mac n cheese, and perfectly grilled burgers make the food just as good as the feel of this place. Definitely the go to after Valley Forge (we found it from a guide's recommendation).
The food was really good! We enjoyed the cocktails (margarita and espresso martini), appetizers (brussels sprouts and poutine), and entrees (like the chicken pot pie). We did feel a little rushed at the end, as we were given the check before we had a chance to ask about desserts.
