Really enjoyed Burtons. Initially I felt the menu was a little pricy for the offerings, but after tasting the food, those concerns were gone. We tried a bunch of different stuff off the happy hour menu, and it was all delicious. I trust this chef makes everything delicious! We'll be back for sure.

We go to Burtons at least twice a month and the whole family loves it there! We go as a am gluten free but my non gluten free family loves it as well! Staff is super accommodating! Food is always good! I had ordered for delivery and it never showed up so I called the restaurant and they offered to have someone that works there deliver it to me as it was my birthday and was looking forward to Burton’s for dinner. They certainly didn’t have to do that. They go above and beyond and would recommend to anyone who is gluten free or not! You won’t regret it!

Update, second time we went on a Saturday and sat in the dining room with my family. The food took forever and tasted terrible. All our meals lacked flavor of some kind, even the kids meal. We all basically ate half, if any, and left hungry. Gluten free lobster roll, lacked flavor, was super chewy and the bun fell apart. The management and staff were very understanding and friendly in the moment and took off the items we could not eat and apologized. In all it was an unexpected disappointment. I really wanted the bang bang broccoli i got last time but was told its only on the weekday menu which i thought was odd. I emailed the restaurant with my experience who apologized and said theyd send me a gift card but months went by and never got anything. I emailed to check in and no reply. Unfortunately i wont be returning, which is sad based off my first experience below. Guest recovery is very important and i would have loved to try again but they fell through on that one.
We went for happy hour at the bar, its from 3-6 with $6 cocktails & $9 bites
We got the steak & general rso chicken skewers, bang bang broccoli, my husband got the nashville chicken slider (not GF) with homemade chips & I added a side of the $10 GF mac and cheese
It was all phenomenal ✨️ the best thing by far was surprisingly the bang bang broccoli! It was crisp and so flavorful! Mac & cheese was good and the general taos chicken was delicious!
I treated my self and got the $12 7 layer cake which was basically a 4x4, the photo doesnt do the size of this this cake justice- the heads turned and jaws dropped when it was delivered- itll last me the week!
Sondra was our bartender/server and was such a joy, so bubbly & attentive!

Enjoyed my entire experience. My partner and I did not have a reservation yet we were still able to be sat IMMEDIATELY. The waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was fantastic and the portion sizes were fair. Great bang for your buck, would love to visit again.

Okay, so basically, I was super excited to try this place due to the huge gluten free menu. When we came in they even asked us if we need a gluten free menu, which not many restaurants do. We appreciated how the waiter even mentioned how they are very safe with allergies which I was happy about as well. When I got my food, it was very good. Everything we ate was amazing and tasted great. Although, after I ate since I have a sensitivity to gluten, (celiac,) whenever I eat gluten I feel very sick and nauseated. I got that feeling after I ate the food which I was very confused about because of how allergy friendly this place was. I’m not sure if the waiter forgot to put in gluten free on the pad where you insert someone’s order or not, but my friend who also has gluten sensitivity also did not feel very good after our meal. Even though the food was great, we are convinced that we got exposed to gluten here. I think that some of the waiter’s should handle the gluten free menus because they were not really sure what was gluten free or not. I’m not sure if we would try this restaurant again, because of my fear of getting sick again, but if we got a more experienced waiter next time maybe we would. I think it had something to do with the burgers, (which we both got,) because that’s when we started to feel weird. If you have celiac and you are eating here, please be aware if the staff are new or not and confirm with them that what your getting is gluten free. We just got sick, but if your gluten sensitivity is more severe then please be cautious here. We are still a little nervous to come back, but we might soon. Thank you so much, have a good day!
Every friend that I've gone with to Burtons and referred to it has loved it as much as I do. The food, atmosphere, service, parking, and location are good and rivaled by one other of my favorites on Lancaster Ave. on the Main Line. Birthdays are special there and the staff treated my friend like a princess during her B-day celebration. You won't go wrong.
