Love the sushi & all other freshly made dishes

Im curious if the other reviews are legitimate. I ordered for my husband and I last night and not only was the food subpar.. the portions were way off. My pad thai had a weird flavor and the takeout container was packed full. My husband got the gnocchi dish and it barely covered the bottom of the takeout container. It also tasted like something I'd order from a pizza shop.. which for a $30 dish, was disappointing. I don't get the hype for this place at all. I had high expectations and will order elsewhere next time. Sad to write this review.

First time dining at The Blue Elephant. Service was really great and very accommodating with dietary needs. Everything was delicious. Recomend for starters: The Shishito Peppers, simple but really elevated with the accompanying sauce and the Hot Rock Kobe Beef was a great interactive delicious experience. Definitely looking forward to going back soon.

Everything was fantastic to the service, atmosphere and especially the food and drinks. It was so hard to narrow down on appetizers because everything looked so delicious. Our waiter was helpful and provided great feedback on the dishes. My husband and I are excited to come back to The Blue Elephant and try more of the amazing food!

This was a long lazy lunch with three old friends connecting. We had a fantastic experience. The menu is terrific, everything we ordered was top-notch. The cocktails were delicious and our server Kacey was just a delight.
The price fixe lunch with three options for $25 is a serious value!
I can’t wait to go back!!

Vegetarian options: Awesome options for vegetarians, who are usually forgotten on a Philadelphia menu

Wow. I’m Italian and couldn’t imagine a harmonious fusion between Asian and Italian food. I was wrong and this place does it masterfully. Everything we ate was next level delicious. Try the tuna bruschetta. The spirit free drinks are outstanding.

This restaurant was so beautiful. It was like you stepped into a luxurious event space. The decor and color scheme was so well coordinated. This style went through to the restrooms, which were clean, well lit, and smelt fresh.

The seating was comfortable and cozy. This restaurant had an elevated chic style. The overall ambiance was so beautiful.

Our server was amazing and knowledgeable about the menu.

Vegetarian options: The eggplant and fried palenta was delicious. The Miso soup was basic.

This is an odd restaurant. Very flashy but the theme of Asian-Italian fusion seems to have the chef confused. I'd stick with the Asian dishes. We sat at the bar and the bartender pushed the pasta entrees so I tried one...and it was almost inedible. Pasta was so undercooked as to be hard and the flavor was very, very strange...almost like eating wasabi straight. My friend complained for me and not an apology, acknowledgement...nothing. Just the full bill. Too many good places in town to go back here.

Lovely staff and nice atmosphere. The sushi rolls were very nice. The main courses however were very heavy and bland. My eggplant was heavy and greasy. On the plus side, the main courses came with abundant vegetables. Perhaps just not our type of food.
