We enjoy White dog. Great food, drinks and atmosphere. Holiday decorations were super cute.
The service was very good. The mushroom soup was delicious. I also had the seasonal salad which did not disappoint.
The food was absolutely terrible. There were 4 of us and all of our meals were bad. I would never go back to this restaurant again.
Another great experience! As always, the food was outstanding! Our server, Fiona, was wonderful, as always! She anticipates whatever we may want! We continue to make White dog café in Wayne the site of our monthly lunch!
Really enjoyed our dinner with good friends. Cozy setting and friendly staff allowed us to have a leisurely dinner. No rush. Thanks
Although the staff knew we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, we were initially seated in the middle of a dining room, and near a table with a crying toddler. We had to ask two staff members to reseat us in a more suitable location before that happened. We appreciated the complimentary glasses of champagne. The food (rolls, mushroom soup, bucatini etc.) was all delicious, but the restaurant is not ideal for a romantic dinner . The clientele is underdressed for a nice dinner out, with many in t-shirts, and some wearing ball caps indoors.
I always have a superb experience at White Dog Cafe. I reunited with an old friend for a three-hour lunch yesterday, and it could not have been nicer! The waitress was superb! The food is always excellent. We were not rushed at all. It was fabulous!
Lunch at White Dog is something we look forward to every time we visit Villanova. The Tuna appetizer and the Harvest salad were wonderful! Love the whimsical Dog decor! Service was very attentive. Thank you!
I always look forward to eating at the White Dog Wayne, but I have to say I was disappointed this time. I think they must have been short staffed as the service was very slow; it took over a half an hour to give our order and they we had to wait another half hour or so to get our food. I got a tuna melt which was supposed to be white meat tuna but it was definitely the dark tuna, not tasty at all. The pumpkin bread was delicious but very expensive, so overall, I regret to say I was disappointed.
The food and service were good, and we enjoyed our time there. Also appreciate the seasonality and locality of the ingredients, and the menu has a lot of options. The only downside was the 3% included on each check for using a credit card.
Restaurantji Recommends
Great menu selection, unique atmosphere. Very enjoyable evening. Good service. However, I'm not a fan of a credit card charge.
Excellent lunch on a beautiful day, sitting on their outdoor patio. Excellent service too! Highly recommend!!!
Busy weekend. Once our order was taken we never saw our server again. Over cooked lamb. Thankfully a manager was walking around and handled the situation for us. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks , dessert etc. server should have nicely told us she was slammed and we would have understood. Food was ok. We waited close to 45 min for entrees. Not acceptable. Had to wave our server over to ask if dinner was coming anytime soon.
Food is innovative and delicious what we had but service was terrible . Food came out quick once we were addressed .
The food is prepared well and delivering a timely manner for our large group. The wine list is short and lacks any real quality wines to choose from.
