My daughter and I like to ride on my motorcycle to get Sushi. I somehow came across this place when searching for restaurants in Waynesboro, figuring that it would be a good ride. Even though I saw great reviews, I was hopeful that it was from people other than just Waynesboro and were legit, not people who are friends and padding the reviews. We decided to take the long way and rode two and half hours to go up there today. Let me say, per my daughter, this is a top 2 Sushi restaurant for her of all time. I do not eat as much Sushi as she does, but I agree it is the best I have ever had. All the food was fresh, and the flavors were to die for. The owner is very hands-on and came over to check on us and we chatted. She is extremely friendly and one hundred percent cares about your experience. This restaurant is so good that now when we want Sushi, and it is riding season, this is where we will go.

Second honeymoon anniversary here and the love and welcoming nature of this restaurant feels like going home. They love and enjoy every person coming to share time eating the MOST amazing food and are genuinely happy to see every person who comes in. Cannot wait for our 3rd anniversary trip next year. Hands down the BEST sushi on the east coast!

Never thought l'd have to give my absolute favorite sushi place a 1-star review. We called at 8:00 PM to place a pickup order and let them know we were about 30 minutes away but would arrive before their 9:30 PM closing time. We got there at 9:00 PM--plenty of time before close-only to be told that the person who answered the phone never took our order. Today was my 21st birthday, and I chose this place for my birthday dinner. We wasted a lot of time going back and forth, only to leave empty-handed and disappointed. This was incredibly frustrating and not the experience l expected from a place l've always loved. I hope they take steps to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Tonight was our first visit and it was an excellent experience! All my son wanted for his birthday was to go have sushi so we decided to try Sapporo, and it definitely won’t be our last visit. I don’t eat sushi or anything but decided to try the chicken fried rice, it was the best I have had in a long time! My son ordered the seared dragon rolls and nabe udon soup and he is still talking about how much he loved both. Pricey, but well worth it. The service was prompt and the servers were all so kind, and attentive. Thanks for a great first visit!

I cannot say enough good things about Sapporo and their counterpart restaurant, Nikki’s, in Waynesboro. Nikki, the owner, and her servers, Connor, Andrew, and Grace, as well as the rest of the staff, are so incredibly welcoming and passionate about what they do. The food is always amazing at both locations, but my favorites are the beef fried rice and Connor’s Roll. Connor (creator of the Connor’s Roll) always has amazing recommendations, and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! Definitely a go-to date night place. Take your taste buds beyond all of the local chain restaurants and check them out!

This is my favorite sushi place around! Their entire menu is so delicious, and you are treated like family every time. Can’t get enough!

My wife and I ordered 2 rolls, pricy but expected. 1 roll was smoked salmon that is brought out in aluminum foil set on fire using lighter fluid. I took a huge bite and I kid you not the taste of that roll was the worst thing ever. Lighter fluid had seeped into all the rolls, my wife spat that out after she tried it. I would definitely suggest not getting the "smoked salmon roll " by far the worst experience ever. And the waiter knew when we told him about the taste which I'm guessing this is a common occurrence. They gave two options: We pay for it and don't get a new roll. We get the same roll without the awful foil lighter fluid display. After taking a bite of what could have been a roll fully dipped in LF, I had lost my appetite.
