Mostly tasty, but not everything was worth the price tag. A "Queen's Tea" will put you back $35 a person (!!!) and personally I would advise against it. The soup that we got was cold and one in our party took one spoonful and then pushed it aside. The rest of us found it to be just okay. None of us were impressed with the desserts. The cookies were dry and plain. However, the scones are really fantastic! Warm and fluffy and not too sweet. The sandwiches were also great, especially the classic cucumber. We all enjoyed our teas as well, with half of the party buying some for home from the gift shop. I would suggest getting the "Cream Tea" which is $15 and includes tea and scones. If you want to splurge, get the "Princess Tea" so you get the sandwiches, but that is $30, so be aware of the increase in price. When you make reservations, you MUST be very clear with them. You have to know their special terminology, and you cannot make any changes once you've made that reservation. The staff, though they smile sweetly, are not flexible whatsoever. We had an issue with reserving a Queen Tea, when we really wanted a Princess one. We didn't know the terminology, and ended up being charged for a Queen, despite talking with the staff about wanting the different one. The dining room has a nice ambiance and is decorated wonderfully, but isn't friendly towards those with disabilities or have trouble with stairs. If you or anyone in your party has issues with stairs, send someone who can travel them easily and just buy the loose tea in the gift shop.

The tea was delightful and the food was good. Do not recommend the soup. You MUST make sure you are VERY CLEAR on what you are ordering. We told them right away we had never done this and we told them we had the 3 Princess teas and one for our 10 year old. We had mistakenly made reservations for Queen teas so apparently there was no going back! And we did not know it. We had a gift certificate that covered our princess teas but were then hit with a hefty increase at the end as they had not adjusted our experience and not knowing all of the particulars we were unaware of the difference. It turned a wonderful experience leaving a sour taste.

Left a review earlier. Sounded like you were putting me down for being poor. Not all of us have money to own shops that are OVER PRICED!! I looked at other reviews. Seems like I'm not the only one who thinks that. I read your comment to those people. You seem kinda nasty to people who don't agree with you. I gave you one star because I wanted to eat there. But, I could never afford that. How you responded to me the first time...... I'll tell everyone I know never to eat there.

My mom took me here for Valentine’s Day. It was our first time there and we drove about 25 minutes to get there. The outside of the tea house is painted a fun purple color. You enter into a very small, cramped foyer and we were greeted right away. They found our reservation and escorted us to our table, which was through the main room and into a smaller “back room” with just one other table. We were seated directly in front of the kitchen entrance. It was very cramped. I even just about knocked a bunch of tea sets off the wall trying to get my coat on and off. The tablecloth was pretty but the chairs are the cheap ugly black stackable ones. Rather than beautiful tea pots and dishes, each seat is outfitted with a small, solid colored tea pot (neither of us were fans of our colors) and a small plate and tea cup set. The tiny tea spoons were cute. Cloth antique-looking napkins were very cute but also very small. We were provided with a lengthy menu of teas to choose from and started our meal with our choice of tea. Now the food. I didn’t care for the salad and only took one small bite. Neither of us liked the tomato bisque which had tons of tiny cut up onions and a bad taste. It was also served in a tiny little bowl. Servers were fine but never asked if my (uneaten) food was ok. Next they brought out a 2-tier tray with a few tea sandwiches and some deserts. Overall, we weren’t fond of most of the sandwiches and left several untouched. We each had a strawberry white chocolate scone with cream, which was good. The other desserts weren’t eaten either. They served two cake pops and called them “truffles”. We took the desserts home to my children, who were only interested in the cake pops. The cost for this lovely meal was $40/person and then they added on an almost 25% tip automatically! Overall, very disappointing experience and we won’t go back.UPDATE: the tip added was indeed 18%, my mistake. And yes, now that it has been brought to my attention, I recall there was a third table squished behind our tables. Otherwise, I stand by my review. I’m sorry you felt the need to discredit my review, rather than take the constructive criticism.

Really great experience here having tea. They have nice little finger foods and lots of tea to choose from. The tea is bottomless and you can try as many different teases as you would like. The workers were also extremely friendly and kind and very welcoming to us. I definitely recommend you coming here if you are looking for a tea room.

This place is amazing. There's nothing like it near me, I visited while traveling. Most tea places are stuffy and you cannot bring your children. This place was calm and adorable and a great way to spend a couple hours. The tea and scones are divine. I have since started buying the tea online and as gifts for friends. Highly recommend this place. Stop by for a tea reservation absolutely but also purchase from the online store. I love the peach apricot decaf tea and am so excited to try the caramel brulee tea!

Love this teahouse, I come about once a month for the Queens tea. A fantastic selection of teas, all the sandwiches, soups, and baked goods are homemade and delicious. Excellent service. I took my mother here and she loved it too. A true treasure for Southern PA.

Very sweet little tea shop. Cozy atmosphere. Fun environment. Lovely and kind staff. Didn't mind me taking my time (it was sweet of course!). The tea assortment and flavor is truly exceptional. The shop attached is so much much fun. Will hope to return in the future!Vegetarian options: They had vegetarian options, but I do not believe this would accommodate a vegan. Unsure if they have a strict vegan alternative as it would take a lot og separate preparation. The vegetarian tea sandwiches are quite tasty and the soup is vegetarian as well. All pastries are of course vegetarian.

It was a very nice experience to have a relaxing tea lunch with my friend. The price is a little steep for what you get.Wheelchair accessibility: There are only stairs to the entrance unless they have a wheelchair accessible entrance in the back ?

I have been to TranquilaTea many times and was surprised when I realized I had never left a review! Their selections are always unique, inspired, and delicious. One of the best tea rooms I've ever been to, worldwide! They hosted my bridal shower in November of 2021 and I was blown away by their professionalism, adaptability, customization... And everyone had a great time. People still talk about the sweet potato bisque! They tailored the menu to my exact requests. The service was, and always is, impeccable. And there is always some new treasure in their gift shop. Only complaint is street parking but I honestly don't think I've ever been to a tea room with a parking lot.
