The only reason I am not leaving five stars is because the food could be better, though it is by no means bad! The staff are very friendly and helped me kill two hours while I waited for my car to be tinted. Good atmosphere overall!

Pretty solid central PA diner. I’ve had to run out to State College a few times recently and it’s not a bad spot on the way there.
Portions are decent and it’s a little bit nicer than your typical greasy spoon.

We have been patrons of Red Plate for a while now, so this review is overdue. The staff is so friendly and the food comes out fast even when it’s busy. But really, it’s about the food… everything I’ve had here is on point. Bacon done just the way you order… pancakes are among the best… coffee is fresh and delicious… portions generous… eggs Benedict done right… all that and great service?! Definitely recommend!

Nice little diner service was good and food came out fast. I had the creamed chippes beef which was less than desireable this time but normally the food is pretty good. Prices are average. The best thing about the Red Plate is the day shift servers the are friendly and make you feel like your eating at a friends house.
