Years ago, and long before we retired and hit the road, we were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation to Vedge while in Philadelphia. So when we heard that a sister restaurant opened in historic Dillworthtown we were excited. While back in the Philadelphia area, we finally visited to celebrate a birthday. While not a place we can routinely visit due to the cost, it was an outstanding place for a celebration. Everything from talking to the owners to the food was excellent. The building was charming, the staff was great, and the food was elevated and amazing. We could not have asked for a better night. We definitely recommend visiting. We suggest making a reservation since it was busy during our visit on a weekday.

Ground Provisions is here now and the place is an amazing restaurant. Rich and Kate have outdone themselves!?

Definitely the best meal I’ve had as a vegan, and probably the best meal I’ve had in my life. As my mom commented, it is easy to serve fancy meat at a restaurant because it tastes good just by cooking it, but it takes skill to make vegetables so special. Each course had unique, delicious flavors

I love everything about this restaurant, but my favorite is by far the seasonally changing menu. Every season the chef offers unique and creative dishes. From first course to dessert, absolutely recommend. If they have it, get the cashew cheese plate!

I went tonight with my daughter to the fixed price dinner with a 7:30 seating. We were lucky enough to find a same day reservation and then also lucky enough to be able to switch to a later time slot when our eagerness forgot a previous commitment! So grateful. We have been to ground provisions before for the market and have had sandwiches from the fridge which were great (as well as pastries, cookies, all manner of other dry goods). Tonight we were celebrating life and just the two of us home for this portion of the summer so it was me and my lovely 12 year old daughter. We tried two non-alcoholic refreshments with our tasting menu which was plenty of food. My daughter was feeling full before halfway. By the end I wasn’t full and neither was I hungry as another reviewer observed. Great portions. Everything was delicious. We definitely didn’t need the “supplement” that was possible to add. I really enjoy the simplicity of the setting as well. I love the location and that it’s not in the city. I own a historic home myself and I was loving how they owned the period of the building. The servers were very nice and I even enjoyed reading poems in the restroom!! It’s a pricy meal for certain (at least for me) but we enjoyed it and will go back.

Absolutely incredible. One of the best vegan dining experiences I've ever had. Enjoyed a dinner with three non-vegans who loved the food and expressed an eagerness to return. We had the tasting menu plus shared all of the available add-ons. The restaurant itself is small and cozy with historic charm and great ambiance. If we lived nearby this would be our go-to spot for celebrations and special occasions.

I truly mean "Top tier" when I say it. Rich, Kate, and their team are making some of the best food in the country at Ground Provisions. If it's just grabbing a fast sandwich out of the refrigerator or getting a reservation to the evening prefixed dinner menu. It's going to taste amazing and might be the best thing you've ever eaten.

The genius and compassionate couple who run Vedge have a country location in Dilworthtown, a historic district. How did I not know about this? It's been open for a year. Reservations are hard to get, and you will plan way ahead for them, but there are a few seats at the bar if you are lucky. Amazing cocktails and wines too, and you don't have to worry about whether they are vegan. Kate knows how to pick wine, and I always sample some amazing things way outside my normal boring range. We split 4 dishes at the bar (see pics) and had excellent service even though the bartender was racing around due to a full house and wine pairings with the tables doing the prix fixe menu. Everything is so beautiful and cool and well thought out. We will come back to buy takeout food and wine and sit out on the porch. Afterwards, you will go to the store in front and buy as much in dollars as you ate and be very happy to spend money on a vegan business which does everything right.

This place is an amazing vegan gem! We trying to grab something vegan “to go” in a trip, I’m used to being disappointed, but Ground Provisions is terrific! The sandwiches are next level delicious and the cookies & baked goods for dessert were delicious too. Must visit if you’re a vegan or vegetarian in the area. Can’t wait to try their eat in menu!
