Awesome coffee and tasty sammiches. The music is a little loud, making conversations awkward.

Best chai blend! Very unique tasting. Delicious almond croissants. Such a calm, clean atmosphere but busy enough that we could enjoy it with a baby without feeling like we were too loud.Kid-friendliness: Calm atmosphere but not pretentious feeling. Didn't feel shamed for being louder or messy

The atmosphere and staff are very warm and parking was pretty easy. The hot chocolate I had was the best I have ever had. I am giving this a 4 star review rather than a 5 because I didn't care for my foager sandwich. It had eggs, mushrooms, cheese and tomatoes. All things I like, but I didn't care for them with this. All in all, I would totally go back again. My friend got avocado toast with the banana foster and loved it.

Delicious espresso beverages, teas, baked goods, and freshly made food offerings. Friendly team and nice atmosphere. All-around great vibe at Gryphon!
Great coffee and atmosphere and avocado toast to die for. HOWEVER, horribly slow service, poor internet speed and the wifi often kicked me off, and the avocado toast was $12 !!

Coffee/Food: excellent, all of it. The coffee will knock your socks off. This is European-style cafe, not Starbucks. Tons of flavor and uniqueness. The teas also outstanding. Try the almond vanilla. It will change your life. Service/Ambiance: Staff are attentive and service-oriented, and oftentimes the owner is there and he's great. It's clear that he wants to make sure that everyone who enters his establishment walks away happy and content. The ambiance is perfect if you're in a hurry or want to hang out. It's a terrific place to meet a friend or colleague for coffee, or get some work done on your laptop. It's not empty, but not loud either. Just the right balance of calm, in a social environment. I love this place, I'd go everyday if I loved closer by.

Charming location with some wonderful drink choices. (They also have plenty of food options, but I find them too overpriced for the portion size.)I really hope to be able to update my review in the future, to give a higher rating, but I just can't bring myself to do so right now. I've been a Gryphon customer for about 25 years, and the Wayne location is such a gem. I honestly thought the same of the West Chester location, too, until some staffing issues really had a significant impact.Lately this location has been struggling to honor their posted hours (which is especially problematic if you pay for parking ahead of time), and some of my experiences have shown me how many staff members are more interested in creating a facade of neighborliness, in ways that have turned out to be disingenuous. I don't think anyone has been intentionally malicious, but certain tendencies have had a harmful effect nonetheless. It's also worth noting, for those who come to a cafe expecting to get work done, the WiFi in the front of the store is okay, but almost never gets a signal to the back. I'm told this is because they've taken great care to keep the connection secure, which is noble if true. Just something to be aware of.

Peak third-wave coffee shop vibes and my favorite drinks in the borough. Service is friendly but moves at a very slow pace, so plan accordingly and don't expect fast food speeds and you'll have a great experience.Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian breakfast options on their menu but very little that is or can be made vegan.Dietary restrictions: Multiple non-dairy milk options for drinks. Vegan cream cheese is available but staff confirmed that it is nut-based so use caution for those with food allergies.
