We had a $25 gift card from a summer meal that was not up to their standards. The mgr gave the $25GC asking us to come back. Called in a take out order and it was obvious the person on the phone was very new. She had to check with a mgr several times while taking my order and I needed to repeat it several times. She was very nice and apologized for the wait I was very nice and patient with her. When I picked up my order. I was told they did not have roasted potatoes anymore-it’s been months since they had them. I substituted mashed potatoes. I confirmed that their website menu had roasted potatoes listed. I checked the order and It was missing one main meal. She misunderstood on our call and took the Chicken Piccata off the order. I had to wait about 10 minutes for that dish. I looked at my bill while waiting and noticed that I was over charged for almost every item on my order-according to the prices on their website. I questioned this when I was given my missing dish and she explained that the broccoli rabe was an up charge. I had spent enough time at Mercato to continue to discuss this. The team needs to update their website with the current prices as it feels deceitful to the customer. I understand training new team members but there should be support for them to get it right for the customer.

Had dinner here one night while traveling and the food was great. Wait staff was attentive and very friendly. I had the filet and it was perfect Definitely will be back if I'm in the area again.
A consistent quality restaurant. Their pizza is amazing.
It’s tough to grade this place. The staff are amazing but they lack leadership. Haley behind the bar was awesome! She was behind the bar and running service bar all alone with zero help from the managers. We were there for 2 hours and saw one manager jump back there for 30 seconds. Victor is still making awesome pizzas and he keeps us coming back!

My fiancée and I attempted to book Mercado for our rehearsal dinner, and after nearly eight to nine months of communication, we are extremely disappointed with how poorly this was handled. From the beginning, we repeatedly reached out to confirm December 5, only to be told again and again that management changes were delaying a response and that we’d hear back “soon.” Despite the lack of clarity, we were led to believe the room was ours, especially after receiving an email confirmation that the booking had been made.
Now, at the last possible moment, we are informed that this was a mistake and that another party actually has the room. This level of mismanagement is unacceptable. We invested months trying to secure this space, only to be blindsided and left scrambling for an alternative because of Mercado’s disorganization and failure to honor their own commitments.

Please bring back mashed potatoes with the chicken meals, or at least make it an option! Was so convenient for my celiac son and me who just prefers potatoes over pasta. Was something that set you apart from every other Italian restaurant in West Chester and made me choose you more often. Also, please bring back the old Brick Chicken recipe that included cauliflower, carrots, and green beans. Was my go-to takeout meal.

We are long time customers. Even had our engagement party and rehearsal dinner here back when Josh was still manager (he was excellent). Things have gone downhill since then, and it's constant issues. One time they sat us in the corner INSIDE, and we were still dripping in sweat it was so hot. Mosquitoes landed on my husband's face. I was literally killing the bugs myself with my silverware napkin. Server noticed and didn't do anything but take my silverware away and forgot to bring me another. Another time we ate outside and were seated on top of people, despite it being late in the evening and plenty of open tables. Took over 20 minutes to get drinks, no straws. Bruschetta was not brought out until after our meals, and we had to ask for it 3 times. I had ordered mashed potatoes as my side. Since the menu change they now do pasta with chicken dishes instead of potatoes but Waitress assured me they could still do it the old way. Well my chicken came out with pasta no explanation. I brought it up and they offered to do roasted potatoes as a gesture because of her mistake (they don't make mashed anymore apparently). I accepted even though I was nearly finished the chicken, thinking it was a service recovery.. Nope. They actually charged us EXTRA for the roasted potatoes instead of offering to cover anything for poor service (and I didn't touch the pasta at all). Pretty ridiculous. Will probably still order takeout despite terrible service and customer service, this is the best Italian food in West Chester.

This place was great. The food was amazing with reasonable prices & a very attentive staff. The manager Shant was extremely involved in the guest experience as well, making us enjoy the atmosphere even more. We will definitely be back & 10/10 recommend to anyone in the area looking for a lunch or dinner!
