Excellent place to have breakfast request onions on your home fries, soothing good 2 eggs over medium home fries, and rye toast, or have the #5, it's excellent the picture is what a guy next to me had, two poa he'd eggs, not sure what there over, but it looked like a 5 star restaurant meal.

I am not one to write reviews but after what I just experienced I feel like it's worth sharing. This morning I went into Penn's Table after church with my 2 daughters and my father, a career marine who served in Vietnam and was shot twice protecting our freedoms. We were sat and immediately greeted by the owner who thanked my dad for his service and told him "We're going to take care of you today." Extremely nice and respectful. We had our meal and the server was lovely and she performed her duties exceptionally well. When the bill came it was $53. I called the server over and informed her that the manager said he was going to do something for my father. She came back and said that his meal would be taken care of. When we received the bill there was only $1.88 discounted off the bill. I called her back over and let her know that the meal wasn't taken off. Then this guy manager comes over saying that the owner left for the day and that the standard is 15% off the persons meal. $1.88....This is what my father's service meant to this entitled brat whose only sense of service is playing call of duty with his friends. I said this is what taking 2 bullets for your country gets you? and his response was "it's our policy". Luckily my girls were with me so I paid and left without causing a scene. So here's my policy. We are both members of the Marine Corps League of Chester County, he's a member of the VA, and my business is part of the Chester County Chamber of Commerce. I will be informing EVERYONE I know on how we were treated today and what your "policies" are pertaining to heroes and their service to this country. I was embarrassed and appalled at the response of this "manager". Next time leave the $1.88 on the bill and tell us to just never come back. It would be a lot less insulting. Server was phenomenal, owner was gracious, manager ruined everything.

Food was ok, not spectacular but not terrible either. Unfortunately the low rating is for the unexpected hidden charges. Should’ve read some earlier posts that described this as well. Always happy to pay for great food and pay the listed price but hidden charges that show up on the bill afterwards never makes for an enjoyable experience. Also learned from friends same thing happened to them so they haven’t returned, seems I know fall in that same category and won’t be back either until they fix this. Be clear on your prices, don’t hide them in the fine print of your menu on a separate page. Not worth it to lose customers over something so petty.

This used to be a wonderful place to go and eat. I loved it when it was run properly. I went there today and waited 15 minutes for a waitress while there were two people in the entire place. All of the workers were in the kitchen joking around and laughing. I I got up and left with out saying a word. The owners son came out and started yelling at me and asking what he did wrong. I explained to him that I was not happy with the service. His response was that I should never come back and that I was fat and overweight. So, avoid this place at all cost.

Came in for lunch this week with my mom to try a place in town I've been wanting to try for a while and Penn's Table certainly didn't disappoint. The menu features some local history about the restaurant and its owners and sandwiches such as the Church Street reference local areas. The food was amazing and with a wide selection of soups, sandwiches, and wraps I'm looking forward to future visits.
