We have been ordering from here since I was a kid visiting my grandmom Helen at Summit House. She always took us here for lunch! My sister gets a cheesesteak from here every time she comes into town and we have been ordering from here since we bought our house in 2000. It is the same as when I was a kid, and I like that there are still places around from my youth. A neighborhood gem.
This is the best cheesesteak in the state...period. I grew up in Philly, and moved 30 years ago. I grew up on Pepper Mill cheesesteaks, and return to the area and ALWAYS come here for a cheesesteak. If you visit Philly, make the drive just to get one of these. You'll find out what a real cheesesteak is.
Absolutely love the food here! The spicy chicken cordon blue cheesesteak is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! The fries are always done nice and crispy, and if you order wiz on the side they give you a big ol' cup of it! Top the meal off with a delicious milkshake, and you'll have to roll out of this place!!
