Classic diner atmosphere and menu. Their New England Clam Chowder was delicious but could have been a bit less thick. My cup of soup was nice and hot. My son’s was not real hot although that was preferable for him.
I ordered the fried haddock. The tartar sauce was delicious. It came with one side. I ordered fries which were perfectly cooked and fresh. I also ordered broccoli, which was fresh and not overcooked.
My son ordered an omelette which he enjoyed. The homefries looked great. My friend got the turkey senior special. I believe she got stewed tomatoes and another side instead of soup or salad. She enjoyed her meal. It came with a dessert which she took to go. Somehow her rice pudding got left in my car so I had it for breakfast. It had good flavor but was a bit too sweet. Raisin haters will like it.
The service was friendly and attentive. The best part is that we felt the prices were very reasonable compared to where we normally go - the Brandywine Diner. I believe next summer we will be splitting our time between the two places.
My biggest complaint about all restaurants in general is how hard it is to get anything besides eggs, pork chops, steak, broiled seafood, and salad when you are gluten sensitive. I’m tired of such few choices. Most are too expensive.
I took a risk with the fish. As a result I have a little neuropathy in my toes from eating it. :-( Being allergic to wheat sucks but at least I don’t go into anaphylactic shock.
The Ram Diner does not make their burgers fresh or I would have had one of those in a lettuce wrap. I’ve recently started to do that to give myself more choices but I’m not a fan of frozen burgers. They always seem to have that freezer taste.
How hard would it be to make fresh burgers? offer more gluten free choices? Use gluten free breadcrumbs? I know the fryer is the same but at least it would be a little less wheat for my body to deal with.
Restaurants could thicken their soups with cornstarch. Gluten free bread could be kept in the freezer for sandwiches.
Eating out is always the same darn thing.
Salads salads and more salads. I’m sick of salads. Rant over.

Walked out this morning before even ordering my meal. Server wanted to be a comedian and play games and even tossed an insult. No thank you will not return to even try the food. Good luck.

Horrible. My friend and I had brunch there this past weekend. She ordered two sides for her meal, and I had a Greek salad with chicken. The salad was the only edible item we ordered. It was average. We ordered dessert. Big mistake. We both ordered a slice of cake. Both arrived cold (too cold, probably to mask the flavor)) and the cake itself was dry as a bone. It crumbled like a stale cookie. The icing was gummy and gross. The whipped cream on was just ok, and probably used in an attempt to mask how dry and stale the cake was. The server kindly took them off the bill.
When we first arrived, the place was crowded and busy. We waited and waited and waited. By the time we placed our order, the diner was clearing out. Service remained slow. The waitress was just okay. She was not particularly attentive.
Rams is overpriced and the food is lousy. Brunch for two was $42.00 and only the salad could be consumed. We will not be back. Maybe the WCU students have no tastebuds?

Average diner with average food. It's hard to mess up omelets and hasbrowns, and they didn't, but at the same time, it was nothing special. For $20 breakfast, there are probably better places.

Good coffee, got the specials. Soup of the day was veggie and it was great but unfortunately the only good thing we had. Food was hot and “fresh” just not to taste felt like everything came from the freezer

I have bfast at Rams 3-4 mornings each week. Very nice. Predictable. Try the grilled veggies with eggs for bfast. Say "hi" to Raj. He loves soccer.

We came here following Bates Motel because it says it’s open til 12am. There’s also a digital sign in the window saying open til 12am. The large lit up sign for everyone to see from the road says 24 hours. Came here at 945p and walked in to them saying um, yeah we are closed. Please update your hours so we don’t go out of our way next time.

Great food good service !
You hear of the stories where people took a wrong turn, found a wonderful little dinner and had a fantastic meal.....this isn't one of them!! The meat lover's omelet should be renamed "the vegetarians revenge ". It was the worst I have ever had the misfortune to taste. Home fries were so bad I only ate one fork full. Serving staff appeared more intrested in talking between themselves and a few, obviously, regulars. Save your money, taste buds and pocket (expensive for a dinner) and eat someplace, any place, else!!!!
