“Mimi's Tea Cottage in West Chester is absolutely lovely. This traditional tea room is open Thursday through Sunday. When we visited, Mimi was there, and she was just as friendly as the last time I met her. We had the Beaumont for $34.99. This gave us each a seasonal soup, 4 tea sandwiches, 4 adorable dainty desserts, a scone (choice of three kinds), and a pot of tea (actually, the tea was so good that we each had two pots). The menu offered black, green, decaf, rooibos, herbal, and white teas. There were moms with little girls at the next table. The Duckling (children’s tea) is $14.99. The children had 3 little tea sandwiches, a scone, and 2 dainty deserts. I believe they had hot chocolate rather than tea. If you have little princesses in your life, you should take them for tea. Reservations are required; however, you can pop in to buy baked goods, loose teas, and charming gifts. If I lived closer, I would stop in for scones and tea regularly! Gluten friendly options are available for an extra fee. Here is the #OldBroadsGuideTo Mim’s Tea Cottage. We parked at the Bicentennial Parking Garage. The prices are reasonable, and it’s free on Sundays. It was clean, and the garage has an elevator. It is (according to Google Maps) 114 ft to Mimi’s (that’s about a 1 or 2 walk). There is a ramp outside the tea house. I was also happy to see restroom grab bars. There are chairs and a bench booth so it would be easy to accommodate a wheelchair. The staff is wonderful and was very helpful in advising us on our tea options. By the way, I do not own this or any business that I write about in The Old Broad’s Guide To. I just like going places and telling you what I think! #visitpa #smallbusiness“

“Very delicate flavour!! Normally you have to emotionally prepare yourself for a powerful ginger drinks but the balance is so good. None of the acidity from the hibiscus tea and all of the rich spiciness of the ginger. I tried a sample to not be rude but ended up walking away with a bottle. Would absolutely recommend stopping in for a sample.“
