Great Restaurant, I am a regular and have been for many years. The food is good, as you would expect from a local Chinese & Japanese restaurant. The Sushi on the other hand is consistently wonderful

I recently was at the restaurant and had an awful experience. We sat at the table for nearly 30 minutes prior to even getting water. Had we not brought a group of 13 students, we would have left several times over. The priority was obviously the take out orders, and we just waited. The food was good, but I will not return to dine in. The in house customers were not a priority.

I am writing this review from the hospital after having an allergic reaction to food I ordered here. I clearly noted that I have a severe nut allergy, yet the restaurant still served me peanuts hidden in the sauce of my lo mein. Who puts peanuts in lo mein without warning the customer?

When I called to ask about it, the staff at first denied there were any nuts at all. Only after checking with the kitchen did they admit peanuts were in the dish. Instead of taking responsibility, they said “sorry” and hung up on me.

Food allergies are life-threatening, and restaurants have a responsibility to care about customer safety. This one clearly does not. For the record, traditional lo mein does not contain peanuts. I eat it regularly at another restaurant with no issue. I only tried this place because my regular spot was closed, and I deeply regret it.

What started as a fun night in with family ended up being a five-hour trip to the ER.

Wasabi is a great option if you do not want the cooked on the table Japanese Hibachi experience. We usually eat there on week days when they offer the lunch bento boxes. Our visit Saturday was a bit of a let down. The waitress ran off when we ordered and my husband had tried to get her attention to let her know he wanted miso soup and not the clear soup. She waved him off and said she'd be back. When she came back she brought the soup and while my husband was telling her the reason he needed to talk to her was to tell her he wanted miso, she was tipping my soup over and spilling it on the table in front of me. I had to grab it so it would not go all over me! She did not acknowledge that at all. She just took off to get my husband the miso soup. It was very strange behavior. My salad was so nasty, I was very disappointed. The salad is one of the things I look forward to the most. It was full of slimy brown wilted lettuce. I could not eat it. I ordered the chicken Katsu and my husband got the hibachi chicken. We also ordered edamame. My chicken was tasty, but very dry. Thankfully the sauce is so flavorful, I was able to dip the chicken in to combat the dryness. The edamame was wonderful as always and the hibachi chicken was good. This was a so/so visit. It was not enough to make me not want to come back. I usually love everything I get there, and usually our servers are great. Perhaps she was new. Overall Wasabi is still high on our list of places we like to eat. Saturday was a fluke, I hope. I should have brought the salad to our waitress's attention, but she was like a chicken with no head and I did not want to bother her.

I’ve ordered take out from here a few times and it’s always been great! They have a good selection of vegan friendly options, which is awesome. I’ve tried 4-5 dishes as well as veggie spring rolls and avocado rolls. The staff were nice and the inside looked very pleasant. Everything I’ve tried has been really yummy and I’ll definitely continue to order from here!

We found the food to be lacking in flavor and left us unsatisfied all around. Service was great, but food was lackluster. Very fresh, but not delicious, just bland.

This is our favorite sushi place in Chester County! We moved to West Chester from Sweden - where we ate fresh-caught Norwegian salmon several times per week. That said, we’ve tried a lot of sushi & Wasabi has the best-quality salmon nigiri within a 30 minute radius. We also like their Alaskan Roll (Salmon, Avocado & Cucumber). If you’re in the mood for Chinese, we can recommend the Broccoli & Snow Peas with Garlic Sauce.

1 Star - Worst Chinese Food Ever

This was hands down the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had, and to make it worse, it was ridiculously expensive for what we got. I ordered boneless ribs, and the portion was laughable—maybe a 6oz container at best. The sweet and sour chicken had about five tiny pieces, and the orange sauce was nothing like it used to be—completely bland.

The steamed dumplings? Cold in the middle. The shrimp roll? Nowhere did it say it was fried, and it had a strong fishy taste—shrimp should never taste fishy.

For $60, this was an absolute rip-off. Never again. Save your money and go somewhere else

I have been going to Wasabi for at least 6 years occasionally eating in but mostly takeout, I have always loved the food up until the last year or so. Since then I have noticed a decline in every way, most recently I ordered dinner online approximately 6:45 asking that it be ready at 7:15, when I arrived (at 7:20) I was told 2 more minutes which I was fine with, unfortunately it wasn’t until 7:35 that the food was ready. I asked specifically to package the hot and cold food in separate bags which they did not. Once I got home the shrimp fried rice was half white rice. I always give a larger tip because I like the food and they usually accommodate my requests unfortunately after this visit I may be looking elsewhere for my Asian cuisine.

My family and I have been Wasabi loyalists since the first week they opened well over a decade ago. Their dishes are always made with fresh ingredients, high quality meats, the sauces are tasty and flavorful but not overpowering. Orders are made quickly even for larger quantities. Staff is always friendly. At this point they know my family’s order by heart. Whenever we call they have it ready to go and always ensure we have extra condiments for our meal. Definitely a “takeaway staple” in my home. I wouldn’t eat at any other asian restaurant in this area. Why risk trying anywhere else…? When I know Wasabi always offers consistent dining excellence. Definitely worth trying if you haven’t yet. There’s a reason the competitors are closing down while Wasabi keeps opening new locations. They’re the BEST!😁
