First let me say that the staff and the service was excellent and very friendly!! The problem was the food. It’s been 17 years since I’ve been to this restaurant. I used to stop here with my parents after church on Sunday’s so the place holds some good memories for me, and the food was always the best. I moved away from the area but have since returned and decided to stop today for breakfast. Today the food was not so good. My bacon was extra crisp, my toast was burnt, and the biggest disappointing was the “home fries” that weren’t home fries. Their home fries used to be awesome and one of the reasons I stopped for breakfast. Now they serve what you call hash browns like you get at the chain restaurants. The menu says home fries??? Not good…Maybe the cook is calling the shots and taking the easy route, versus the harder but better approach to a great breakfast. Oh well. I doubt I will return.

The Ranch House is a good place to get a quick bite to eat. Prices are reasonable, service is good and usually fast. I can count on this restaurant for good soup most days too (can't do cream-based but usually there is at least one option I like). Good chili here, too!

If you are black or Hispanic I would not recommend. Walked in and was seated. Sat for 5-7 minutes no one acknowledged us at all. All the waitresses were sitting down and rolling silverware and talking. It was our first time there and honestly would never go back. So just a warning to black and Hispanic customers looking to try it. Very uncomfortable environment. Left without ordering or being approached by any waitress

Had lunch there for the first time (at least for me) today with friends. Had a tuna melt with fries. Food was very good and the service was as very friendly. Heck, even after the check was given to us, the waitress asked to refill our drinks! The place has a really cool old school feel to it and you get a sense that the staff has been there for a long time (a good thing). We’re not talking fine dining, but as a small family restaurant, I highly recommend it.
