I believe they changed owners but I’m not sure and it has not been very good. I’ve been coming here since I was little. They changed the hot dogs and sauce to a cheaper version. I can’t eat the hot dogs anymore.

Do you want a quick ham bbq and cheese sandwich or a hot dog? How about some fries and soda with that. Jim's Famous sauce is a no nonsense place to get a tasty quick meal.

I’ve been going to Jim’s since I was a little boy I’m 30 years old now. Some of my fondest memories were made in that parking lot with a fresh hot dog, and good laughs with my grandpa. I have 3 kids of my own now I can’t wait until they’re ALL able to have the same experience for another 30 years

Fast service you wait tiny bit but there quick and get you out fast and food smells delicious as got takeout.

My grandpap worked for Jim’s when it was in McKeesport. My family might be spread out across the country but they all stop at Jim’s when in town some even have their sauce sent to them. ?

The fries and hot dogs were decent but a bit pricey, although the milkshakes were quite enjoyable. Despite expectations for Chicago-style hot dogs with pretzel buns, the toppings were limited. However, Jim's famous sauce was quite tasty. Managing orders and service through a single window could be confusing during peak times. This long-standing local spot has a special niche and has been an integral part of the community for many years, and it is hoped that it will continue to thrive for many more.

It’s been awhile sine I was here, and stopped today since I was in the area. Two hotdogs with cheese and special sauce $9.50ish. might be wrong, but I felt like some of the attraction to this place aside from the special sauce was the Cheap prices back when I was there last. If you wanted two hotdogs fries and a drink, it would cost you $15 -$16. Way overpriced, and mediocre in my opinion for hotdogs. I like the cheese and the sauce enough, but not enough to go back and pay $10 for two Regular size hotdogs. Hotdogs are the absolute cheapest thing cost wise in the restaurant business. You should be able to get a meal for under $10 with fries here. Fries are an extra 4-5 dollars depending if you want cheese. $15-20 dollars for one person is crazy to spend if you’re going here. Disappointed in the price is more than I was the food today. Ho hum ?

I got the cheese dogs with onions and sauce. I have to say I was disappointed with the famous sauce just because it tasted nothing like what I was expecting. It’s like a somewhat spicy, watery salsa. The dog had a great taste. Obviously the locals love it. Definitely give the sauce a try, but know it might not hit for you.
