After assuring me that she could provide cupcakes for an event, when I called to pay her she told me she could no longer provide the service. While she claims to need two weeks notice, she doesn't provide you with two weeks notice of the quote even when you provide her with the information ahead of time. Do yourself a favor, and find someone who wants to help her customers.

Such a cute bakery with amazing cakes, cupcakes, macarons, and cake pops! They even do special decorative sugar cookies for graduation, birthdays, etc. I picked up a mini cake for my friend and they so kindly wrote happy birthday on it and even included a candle!

I had a wonderful time attending the cookie decorating class. Ady provided all the needed supplies; from undecorated cookies to icing to practice sheets and even boxes to transport our finished cookies home. I would definitely recommend and plan to take another class.
A little over a year ago I almost lost my mother due to a medical emergency. Through my Mother’s determination, friends and family support, and a lot of prayer, she is still with us today. A few weeks ago my mother turned 85. I had decided to throw her a huge birthday party to celebrate her life. I moved away from Reading decades ago and needed some help finding someone to custom create a cake the would be the centerpiece for the party. My close friend Brian, referred me to Ady’s Cakes. I contacted Ady and set up an appointment with her when I was in town. She designed the cake based on listening to my mother’s likes and accomplishments. Her attention to detail was extremely helpful as Ady assisted in deciding on cake flavoring as many of the party goers were Seniors. On the day of pickup, Ady was excited to show me the cake……amazing!!! I knew I came to the right place and she was kind enough to help me load the cake into my car. From the moment I dropped the cake off where the party was taking place to days after the party was over, EVERYONE wanted to know who made the cake because not only did it look impressive, the cake tasted incredible. The cake was light and flavorful. The icing melted in your mouth and tasted natural and not processed like cakes and icing often do. I am a sweets guy and I love a good piece of cake, this was probably the best cake I have ever eaten. Ady was successful on a Food Network contest years ago. While that may have been helpful in directing me to her shop, it was Ady herself, that sold me on Ady’s Cakes and trusting her for this special occasion. This cake was made special and and at no time did I ever feel as if it was just another order to be prepared. She sells other items including her famous cupcakes for which she won the contest on Food Network!! As a first time experience at Ady’s Cakes, this was a home run. There are a few solid choices in the Reading/Wyomissing area that have been around for decades for your cake or baked good needs, but if you haven’t ever been to Ady’s you are missing out. Any time I am back in Reading, Ady’s will always be a stop on my list!! Thank you Ady for making my mother’s special day that much more. Your talent, generosity and spirit came through in each bite of cake. Thank you!!!
