I have been going to Chen's for the past couple years and it has never once disappointed. I am not even vegitarian or vegan, but this is without question the best chinese food i have ever had. The flavoring along with the way the food is cooked is just next level.Kid-friendliness: The owner asks about my daughter every time i go in to pick up an order and is always so welcoming when we come in as a family.

My wife, brother in law and I tried this out tonight. The staff were extremely courteous. As we are not from reading and don’t get out that way often, We decided to order a lot of food and try them out. The menu is impressive and offers a wide range of dishes. The food was extremely well priced and it was delicious. We didn’t try one thing that we didn’t like. We’re coming back for sure.

Chen is delicious! I am not vegetarian, however my friend is, so I was eager to give it a try to see how the "meat" tasted. Everything is phenomenal and you will be impressed with the taste and quality of the food. The owner is very friendly and the atmosphere is nice. It's right on the strip of Penn Ave so afterwards you can go for a nice walk. Definitely give Chen a try, even if you aren't vegetarian!

Absolutely fantastic food, everything we had was so amazing. Got to have won ton soup for the first time since we went vegetarian, and it was heaven. AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!Everything at Chen Vegetarian House is 100% VEGAN. I legitimately had difficulty deciding what to get because I’m not used to have so many options!! My friend and I decided to get several dishes and split them. We enjoyed the chicken drumsticks (too tasty to take a photo), the vegetable lo mein, the general tsos chicken, and, for dessert, cheesecake. “Lin”(?) was such a sweet waitress and so knowledgeable about the food. It was so great not having to worry about animal products in my dishes!I recommended they join the Plant Based Treaty, so I hope to see their name on the list soon!Vegetarian options: Everything is veganDietary restrictions: Vegan

Wonderful food, staff and atmosphere! Entire menu is vegitarian & very tasty. Place is over a hour from me and worth every minute of the drive, we’ll be back soon :)
The food was amazing , flavorful & great portion for the price. Being vegan the texture was good and tasty. The staff was very informative and kind throughout the entire visit. Nothing bad to say, worth a try even if you arnt vegan. Definitely will be returning soon :)

THIS is what every little restaurant should be instead of animal-based. No fancy spellings of chicken, fish, etc. on this menu. They assure/inform everyone on arrival that they are 100% vegan. Appears to be entirely run by one couple.
I finished half of one meal and thought I could also take another meal home. The portions are so large that I actually took home 5 meals.
Both entrees came out so fast that I would barely have time to go to the restroom to wash my hands. Seriously, not 5 minutes passed from ordering to receiving, both times.
Open-air kitchen is more noisy than usual.
In the heart of West Reading, a bustling burb on a Friday evening, with limited parking but well-worth the walk.
