A really good dining experience. Delicious food served quickly and kindly. Nice people and authentic Mexican flavor! Nothing left to photograph!

Food is so terrible, you eat and then you start hating Mexican food,
They don’t know how to make Tacos, chicken grilled but not cooked. I left all food and paid whatever they charged, is expensive and same time not worth of even half price,
Server doesn’t know anything about menu and/or food.
Atmosphere not so great.
Food not at all good, don’t even give a try with that price.

A total GEM in West Reading! The table and chairs add a cheerful colorful splash to the place! The Tacos de Birria are amazing! I can't wait to go back!

Tried a few different Mexican restaurants looking for authentic tacos like we had when we lived in San Diego. These are fantastic- best we have found. Just as good as we had back in CA. Great friendly service too!! Thank you Glenda!

We went on a Thursday evening at 6:30 and it was empty. The food was fine, and the service was prompt and attentive. The emptiness made me a bit leary, but I assume they do a more robust takeout business. Everyone in our party of 5 seemed fine with their entrees - no complaints. But no exclamations of delight either. The menu offered a nice variety of dishes. All in all, we were happy and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

The tortilla soup and fajita salad were delicious, even to go!

I've been to a couple of the Wyomissing Mexican chain type restaurants over the last couple of years.

Wanted to find something more authentic so I did a quick search on Yelp and found La Abuela. I've learned that the name means grandmother.

Well let me tell you, grandmother trained her daughter and or staff very well.

This is by far the best Mexican cuisine I've ever had the pleasure of eating!

My lunch partner also enjoyed her meal and had similar comments regarding the quality of the food.

Beyond the good food, the place was meticulously clean and even though it's a small restaurant, very well
decorated.

Put it on your list! If I didn't live over an hour and a half away, I'd be here every week!!

I am never disappointed with my food , just went there today and decided to try something new, I got Enfrijoladas with queso Fresca filling and shrimp Tampico soup , fresh and delicious as usual!

Tried La Abuela for lunch and went back the next day for dinner with my husband.
We had chicken empanadas, chicken chimichanga, and plantains....Delicious!!!
We loved the colorful decor and you can not ask for a sweeter, friendlier owner.
We will be frequenting La Abuela from now on.

The service was fantastic. The choripollo was excellent and the birria tacos were probably the best I’ve ever had.

Love this place! I miss them at Green Dragon! Excellent food! Too bad it's Christmas eve, I could definitely eat their Chicken Enchiladas Verde! Only place I go for Mexican food.
