The caribbean flavors were pretty accurate. Staff was very friendly and fun. The wait was wayyy long. I think there is only like three people working there in total. I ordered and was told 45 minutes I came later and still waited an additional 20 minutes. I had the seafood boil, rice and beans and cabbage the seafood wad as fresh as you're are going to get in the middle of nowhere. The sauce was very addicting though, rice was burnt but had a good flavor cabbage was cabbage.

They were able to cater to my daughters allergies fantastically. Even changing the oil to fry her fish so it wasn't cross contaminated!!!

I ordered their seafood boil last week and it was awful. I had such high hopes too so it was a massive disappointment. The food was so salty I could barely eat it. You could tell the crab legs had freezer burn on them as well. I so badly wanted this seafood boil to be amazing so I could order it on the regular, but it was not even close. I ended up throwing it away because it was inedible.

I don’t care what any other review says, this is the best place for soul food! They give big portions even if you order a small combo! Please give them a try!

Interesting

I decided to stop by today after seeing this place on DoorDash. Knowing the app tends to overcharge, I brought my aunt and baby cousin to order in person. When we walked in, the restaurant smelled flavorful and had a decent amount of activity. There was no formal line — you simply waited for the owner to come over and take your order.

After about a 20-minute wait, the owner started to approach us but was stopped by another customer. Thankfully, she remembered we had arrived first, which we appreciated. She was very helpful in explaining the menu and letting us know what items were in or out of stock.

Unfortunately, after ordering, the experience went downhill. Customers were visibly frustrated with the long wait times. We stayed patient, hoping the food would be worth it. To note, there were only two staff members working — a man and a woman. While the woman was working hard plating and preparing orders, the man sat around and did nothing, which made the wait even longer. It seemed the woman didn’t mind, but it definitely impacted the service.

What confused us most was the fact that the food was already in stainless steel steam table pans — all she had to do was plate it. There was no reason it should have taken over an hour to receive our order.

As for the food: the BBQ chicken was the only item we genuinely enjoyed. The crab and salmon pasta was bland, watery, and the crab had a fishy taste. The corn was topped with margarine instead of butter, causing it to separate and become watery as well. We also ordered a side of coconut rice, hoping it would redeem the meal, but it was just as disappointing — no coconut flavor at all, more like brown rice with beans — and it cost $5.18.

While the owners were friendly and welcoming, unfortunately, the food and overall experience left a lot to be desired. We won’t be returning.

Amazing people, amazing atmosphere. Great employees working here. I wasn't disappointed. They are very welcoming people, great to see and great to go and I have a new spot now. Thank you Mecca, you are definitely a hidden gem. along with the people who serve there, I must say, you are all awesome!!! 😎 Very polite and a great time. Words aren’t enough to emphasize how tasteful to perfection this place makes its food. As for the service, one word comes to mind, “exceptional,” in all aspects of the word. Beautiful place all around. Don’t take my word for it though. Go try it for yourself.

Soooo delicious!!! I did not know this hidden gem was out here and I am glad I gave it a try definitely will keep going back to try more!

They are the nicest people always have the best customer service. Food is worth the price and there are super large portions in each serving. I love it here! They even wrote on my box for my birthday.

Food was okay the only thing that was terrible were the mash potatoes I ordered the redskin mash and I was given instant mash potatoes

Even though I didn't recieve everything I ordered on doordash I was very happy with what I did get the food was on point so flavorful honestly I don't leave reviews unless I'm impressed this right here is it
