Love love love the lofts. Great location, very close to several shops and restaurants nearby.
The loft at Narrow is the best place to live
Lofts at Narrow sounds like a diamond in the rough before moving in. They will go out of their way to make your move easy and convenient. Once you’re settled in the nightmare begins. The smell in the building is horrible. Prior residents have recorded above EPA recommended levels of radon in their apartments. The elevator stops working all the time. Expect a high electric bill with the new electric company they are contracted with. Expect your A/C and heater to stop working on the hottest of days or coldest of nights. If you live in an apartment with no balcony, there is no way to open a window in your home (fire hazard anyone??). The ceiling was constantly falling apart and anytime I reported it to management they brushed the problem off. Do NOT expect to get your security deposit back in full. You’ll be lucky to get a fraction of it. We had our place professionally cleaned, patched all holes, and left the apartment in better condition than we received it and only got back a few hundred dollars. My advice to you is either find a different place to live or make sure you document and take pictures of every single flaw you find in the apartment upon move in. There is no such thing as normal wear and tear for LAN — THEY WILL charge you for anything that looks like damage even if it was already there when you moved in. Also, don’t expect the awful smell of the apartment building to leave your furniture for MONTHS. Do your research and LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS. Most of the people I know who still live there are trying to leave. The best thing I did was move out of that horrible place.
Love living here!! Great people!
Amy is a great manger
I want to give a big THANK YOU to Cyrena Wagner and Christina (Regional Manager) They went above and beyond to help me as I was making a move from Florida to PA. Great customer service. I'm excited I chose the Metropolitan Group as my new home.
Wonderful experience at The Lofts where I was a walk in for a tour and to inquire about availability.Cyrena N. was a pleasure to deal with and very knowledgeable about the apartments. She also took me over to their other property to tour the units at the Met. Lisa was also vey impressive as the property manager there.Big 5 star review!!
I Love the Lofts at Narrow ... the roof top pool and deck have the most amazing views. The property manager is So knowledgeable. Thank so much for helping my family.
Do not move here!!! Over the weekend we had to endure an apartment that was a very dangerous unsafe 103 degrees! Have a small child or pets? They aren’t safe in a locked car in the sun, right? Imagine that locked car being your apartment with windows that don’t open. I contacted the property manager, currently Christina Hausman, on Tuesday 5/18/21 when the apartment was 82 degrees and the air was not working. We had a similar issue last year on 5/29/20. I called the office and she did not answer, so I left a voicemail indicating what the problem was and said that I would just come down to the office since I knew she was there. Phone records document this call and the minute in length leaving a message, but Christina states that I didn’t contact her about the issue until Thursday, as it continued and nothing was fixed. On Tuesday when I went to her office, in front of her, I spoke to maintenance. She said this was a “private”conversation and not notifying her. However, again, I left a message on her voicemail. She either doesn’t listen to or doesn’t respond to tenant messages. Thursday afternoon she emailed and said maintenance wasn’t here and would come in Friday morning to fix the issue. Friday morning she emailed and said it was fixed. Friday afternoon we came home to a 95 degree apartment. I went down to the office and said it wasn’t fixed and she argued with me and said it was and also said that Thursday was the first time she heard about the problem. This is untrue, as I called on Tuesday. Thursday was when I called, emailed and put in an official maintenance request. She called maintenance in front of me and downplayed the issue by giving him a lower temperature (85 and 80) than what I had told her (86). Maintenance came and said it was actually 95 degrees and that the defroster board was broken as was the thermostat. When maintenance left it was 77 degrees in the apartment. On Saturday we left for the day. When we returned to our apartment Saturday at 6:28, our apartment was a dangerous 103 degrees. We have 2 cats. This puts their lives, as well as ours, at risk. We called emergency maintenance. Leo came out, said he didn’t know how to fix the problem, left at 7:32 PM and said that the head maintenance person or Christina Hausman would call us. That never happened. We called emergency maintenance again at 8:32 and 9:32 while we continued to watch the temperature rise. During this time I also emailed updates to Christina. Nobody returned our calls or came to fix the issue. We suffered through the night because we couldn’t leave the cats. No apologies for what we went through were made. Another call was placed to emergency maintenance Sunday morning and a portable AC unit was hooked up by having the door to the balcony propped open with cardboard and tape. We were told Monday morning that someone was coming to work on it. No empathy or concern, just more rudeness. We didn’t get any updates on the situation until after I contacted the corporate office today. The corporate office will not address the failure of their employees. The regional manager, Kristi Verrechio, was present in the office on 5/18/21. I’ve been told my complaints were forwarded to her. I have not heard from her either. They will not apologize that your pets are ill due to 103 degree temperatures and that your food has melted and belongings are being destroyed. In the lease there is a line that they can do or not do whatever they want (I’m paraphrasing) and you can take no action against them. Therefore we cannot be compensated for our unlivable conditions. They didn’t offer to put us in a hotel or anything. The cardboard/tape contraption is still hooked up while they “monitor” the situation. It’s now 62 degrees outside so of course it is cooler in here. The situation needed to be monitored when it was 103 degrees and she wasn’t responding at all. No response to almost 10 emails. Is this where you would want to live?!? AND the residents will steal your mail with no repercussions!
Love the property , looking forward to moving here this summer. Property manager was very nice and maintenance staff seems great as well !
Restaurantji Recommends
We had a great yoga event last week on the rooftop. Building 7 Yoga hosted the event. The yoga session was enjoyable and very needed! It would be nice if we can do this maybe twice a month.
My family and I love living at The Lofts at Narrow. We have a 2 bedroom and there is more than enough room. The views are gorgeous, and the pool is outstanding in the summer. With Kimberton opening within walking distance, this spot is truly close to anything you may need.
Enjoy the view. Great kitchen storage and cabinets. Very fast to response to any requests for maintenance. AND the pool and deck!!!
A wonderful apartment in an old knitting mill. Great location with so many restaurants, shops and new, local Whole Food shop.
