Great place to be forced to listen to uninformed political and medical opinions between the owner and customers. Don't, for the love of god, ever even mention the name Fauci. The workers are great at their jobs.

This is a place just to go for beer, THAT’S IT!! I try to support our locals business, but if you don’t respect me or my family I cannot support you. I took my mom for the first time and the experience was unpleasant. I don't know if I have the space or time to write everything that was wrong in this place. First, we chose the patio area since it was a nice day. When we sat down the chairs were full of cobwebs and spiders walking on the chairs (one of my daughter's biggest phobias) we didn't say anything, we shook them with our hands and sat down. The waitress came to take the order, we ordered food quickly. We were tired and very hungry. First, what is on the menu does not reflect what they bring you and charge you. We order the “build your own burger “ it’s says for $13.50 ,you can add your toppings but there was an extra charge of $1 for bacon and $.50 for mushrooms. I confirm this info with the waitress ask her “ I can add as many toppings, but there’s an extra charge for bacon & mushrooms “ she confirm with #10 YESES. We proceed to order #3 of those . Between the three persons that choose this option , some of the toppings were: peppers, jalapeños, pickles, bacon and mushrooms. Also I said if I can change my bread to brioche they said “it would be a charge of $1.50 “I switch it. While we were waiting(a lot by the way) One of the waiters(a different one)came and said “the chef want you to know that there would be and extra charge for pickles and jalapeños” Huh!! I told her “that was not what it says on the menu and ask my waitress before ordering””she said well that’s what he said” we were hungry so we were like… Whatever.!! When they bring the plates the presentation very disappointing. Plates were dirty and the disproportion on the plates were very noticeable. One of the plates( by the way the expensive one) barely had fries, while in the other one there were a lot and other one was in the middle not at lot of fries but some. We were like wow! “They barely put fries on your plate. When they bring my plate…they bring my burger in a ciabatta bread ? when I order a brioche. I had to switch it for the regular burger bun they had. When the waitress came back I made the comment about the noticeable disproportion of the fries and presentation. Her response was “ what did you count them” super rude and sarcastic. When I was about to finally eat my burger there was no peppers or pickles ( the extra charge that was not in the menu btw) I told the waitress, they didn’t put the pickles or peppers. She said “we don’t have peppers “ but she never let us know ahead of time . They gave me #2 pickles and I finally ate my burger . The waitress never brought napkins, would pass by the table and wouldn’t even look at us. When we asked for the bill I told her I would like to speak with the manager. Manager came and while I was explaining the experience I just had… the owner Mark step in the conversation with a hard face and a agitated energy. We explained the several situations. One of his responses was “ he does not use measurements in his kitchen, that he had never had complaints about the portions of the fries. He try to say that the fries were a “gift” because the quality of his burger cover the expense and more. That there were no places that included fries with your burger( not sure where he has been) he had the nerve to say if we wanted more fries( with a very passive aggressive tone) when we were done eating and some of the food were packed in boxes. After not taking the criticism and try to justify the several mistakes and rude actitud of his waitress. He processed to take one of the burgers out the bill.

It's ok I guess, the food isn't the best in town (50 shades of brown) but they do have a nice selection of beers. It always seems a bit loud inside to me.

A hidden gem in the main street. I dined in this establishment with my cousin for our first time. While a bit confusing with the layout, once we figured out table seating was towards the back we had a great experience. It took us maybe 3 or 4 minutes to be seated, 5-10 to look over the menu and given the best service I could ask for. Food was delicious and I will always recommend the fire fries, As the waitress did a fantastic job hyping up the menu. I would give a higher rating but the layout was my only issue really.
We met for happy hour on a Thursday. The food was great & the service was very friendly. Highly recommend.

I was recommended here by the good folks at Gem on Penn (just down the street), and I was not disappointed. I was in the mood for a smaller hot snack, and the taverns French onion soup was an excellent match to their truffle fries. It was a pleasant atmosphere. A busy but not crowded bar was full of smiling faces, cozy conversations, and attentive and smiling service. The food was prompt, delicious, and a great choice for a rainy afternoon. I'll be back on hungrier days to try more of the menu

Food was great and loved the vibe there. It had the dark and woody old school tavern look without smelling like mildew like many of those places still do.Bang Bang shrimp were large and awesome, though the calamari was a bit spicier.Service was friendly. The kitchen isn't fast, so don't go here if you are in a hurry. If you are looking to hang out and get some good food, this is the place to go.
