My husband and I were grouse hunting near the Dam Inn and we decided to stop by and get some food, mine was very good, but my husband ordered the bowl of chili and it was so spicy that he could not eat it. I love spicy food and it was also too hot for me.
Our party has five people tonight. All of us received cold to luke warm food. Three dishes had fries only one had hot fries. Two dishes were bowls with rice in them. The rice was cold, clumpy and some not thoroughly cooked. Our waitress didn't have much time for us she was busy with other tables. She gave one in our party a refill on his drink, but the rest of us didn't even get asked about a refill until we were ready to leave. One in our party wanted a second alcoholic...
If you're starting from St Mary's, go NORTH. Not south. GPS is delusional - it took us 9 miles south and then said to make a u-turn. Food was decent, service got off to a rocky start but recovered. No AC. Cash only, no cards, but ATM on site. The river is RIGHT THERE - you could jump off the patio railing and land in it, although this is probably frowned upon by management.
