Go here! Delicious food and THE BEST service. Not a drop of grease on my plate, soggy tortillas, or microwave canned refried beans here. Even the decor was a huge step up from the Mexican restaurants we are used to. I wish we had one in our home town. Well done. One more thing, most of the unfavorable ratings are likely service related. I get that, but who isn't dealing with staffing and supply issues these days? Our waitress had the whole room by herself and she was awesome.

Mad Mex was a new restaurant for us. Now that we are in the neighborhood, it seemed like a good place to try. Came back for a second visit, and found the door locked and a sign on the door - "Temporarily closed."Just our luck. We thought we found a good local Mexican restaurant.Seems like it's now Belly Up.?

My girlfriend and I had dinner here recently and love it! The Nacho Mama's tacos were delicious! The 90 inch tv above the bar for playoff football didn't hurt either ?

I gave this a 3-star rating because frankly, my ‘bowl’ looked terrible, and by that I mean it looked as if they took black beans & corn, threw them in the bowl and layered it with grilled onions, melted cheese and peppers. Topped with grilled chicken (skin on— had to peel it off) and guacamole. The taste of it all…. Mediocre

We went here for happy hour and our waiter was very nice. Very soft spoken and kind. However it was 5 adults and 1 infant. Literally less than 6 months old. I use to work as server for Fridays so I understand what happens in the background for adding gratuity. But for an INFANT, that didn’t receive a meal is ridiculous. When it states on the menu that gratuity is added for SIX or more guest. I would imply guest mean customers they actually participated in ordering a meal and needing service. Our bill came to $155 and I gave $150 despite me actually want to take gratuity to 13% for poor judgement and discrimination. Ultimately that’s what it was. Our waiter judged by our race that we would not give a good enough tip and decided to add an automatic gratuity. However, all our guest start at 25% and given that it was a recommendation from me, I feel utterly embarrassed for recommending this establishment in the first place.

Great place to go for good food and good drinks. Happ6 hour is pretty dope as well and I always meet good people when I go. The bartender by the name of Sheila is one of the best bartenders. She always remembers what drinks you like and even what food you typically order when sitting at the bar, she also makes you feel welcome.I'll continue to return tho this establishment ?Vegetarian options: They offer vegan options which is top tier for me ?

Why would anyone ever want this after having it once? I just picked up a to go burrito that was 15$ and it was basically rice. And falling apart. Guac was tasteless. Chipotle is way better and cheaper for better quality food.

Family, friends and I use to love this place. It was only 3 other guest inside during my lunch break. Ordered wings and fries that I sat longer than normal waiting for. I was late getting back to work. Checked my food in the car on the way back to work and the fries looked different than usual and were cold along with my wings. The bartender apologized to me when she brought my food out and stated, “the fries were taking forever”. How if they were cold when I recieved them. The manager agreed to make me new food when I got off from work when I called. Nope, they lost me. I will never come back. Wish I could upload a pic. Disrespectful
It's very small inside. We went on a Friday night and were told there was a hour wait but we were seated in around 30 minutes. The food wasn't very good at all it was very generic, the rice tasted like box Spanish rice, the chips were stale and the queso was tasteless just spicy. I ordered a spinach, shrimp and mushroom burrito, it was filled with black beans and almost no shrimp and when I finally found one they were rotten. They were so soft and I crushed them with my fork to show the waiter that they were no good. I am almost never disappointed with Tex-Mex fare as it is one of my favorites but this place left a lot to be desired.Kid-friendliness: My 5 year old was very happy with the kids menu but they didn't have any crayons for him to color his menu.

Love this place! I went here with my family and the service was amazing, and amazing food! The waitresses are so respectful. You do have to wait a long time for the food but it was worth it. Recommend it!

My boyfriend and I stopped in last friday for a late lunch and margs. The bartender rushed us to decide what to drink. When I ordered the grapefruit selection I was told them are out of grapefruit. Then we ordered food which came up very quickly. I ordered a bowl with chicken. It was barely edible. I ate the chips and salsa as my meal. My partner had a burrito and there was 4 pieces of meat in the entire burrito. The waitress/bartender offered to take off my meal as it was untouched. The quality of food was not up to any standard for a $60 total for one drink and one meal. Not to mention we had to pay the bill quickly before she was leaving at 4:00. I would not recommend this place at all.

Came on a 70° Saturday and they wouldn't open the outside. This place is clearly struggling but turns down customers that drive 45 minutes away? Ooook. Where is the management here?

Beware of their amateur takeout service. This is the second time they forgot to include sides: no chips came with the guacamole and got punished for paying extra for waffle fries on two entrees. Went back, at least they gave 6 bags of chips we can’t finish and cold waffle fries?Also, $18-20 for 3 tacos. Save your time and money at Chipotle down the street.
