Sat at the bar for dinner. After a lengthy wait for food, got my what was supposed to be a medium rare burger, looking more like a hockey puck it was so overdone. French fries were good. Chicken quesadilla app was good. Our server/bartender was great, but I won't be rushing back for food soon. Also, there was a lot of trash on the floor, and please get that waiting area bench fixed...looks really bad.

Charcuterie Board from W Tavern. Overall, not a good meal, and group of friends won't be returning.

I had a great experience at the W. Great draft lift, wait staff and bartenders were phenomenal, and the food was delicious- crab cakes and wings were outstanding. Highly recommend!

11/23/24 dinner meal, cross contamination with poor staff.

Dim lighting indoor patio seating. Poor heating for room for the amount of windows. Wall minisplit too small for the size room. Unit said 73 but was doing nothing to warm the room. My party kept their winter jackets on through the meal.

Server was poor at best. Was not writing down orders, forgetting if she actually took our orders or brought our food/drinks. Asked if we wanted another round of drinks before we even got our first round after we had been waiting. Didn’t notice the lack of drinking glasses on the table. Friendly yes, poor performance.

Ordered our food, waited and another staff brought out our food. Asked about my cheesesteak that wasn’t brought out. Had to ask another 3 times before I got my cheesesteak. Rest of my party had gotten their food and had eaten before I was served. 25 minutes from my party getting their food. Finally got my cheesesteak and it was warm but not hot. Took the first bite and all I could taste was fish. Had another from my party take a taste and they said definitely tastes fishy. You could smell the fish coming off the sandwich. Had to get the manager to come over who told me it was not possible to have a fish taste since fish doesn’t get cooked on the flattop. So cross contamination is happening in the kitchen, I have a shellfish allergy. Manager says they will remove my meal from the bill. Get the check and it is still on the bill.

More like L Tavern

Not the best place to go, we ended up leaving early because the food was not particularly good - their weekly special tuna tacos were very cold and the eggplant was like rubber. The drinks were alright but my margarita didn’t have a salt brim and tasted bland. Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately!

Cheers

The French onion soup is some of the best in or out of the city. The gin jawn cocktail was a little tonic heavy, the W old fashioned was perfect but overall a great cocktail bar/restaurant. Service overall is impeccable. Live edge bar top is incredibly swanky and frankly out of place, ignore the look of the outside, walk in and check this place out, it's a must see.

Great food for great prices. My girlfriend got a Blackberry smash that was a little strong but she made it work with some Sprite. The service though? Incredible. If you pop in ask for Amanda and order a Drunken Housewife.

Walking in ,bar was packed. Thought we found a table next to the bar because it was empty. Sat down. After 10 minutes staff member comes over to tell us' sorry this is reserved', no markings on the table. Seemed kind of weird. Why was there not a marking saying it was reserved. Left with a bad feeling.

I recently visited the W Tavern and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt welcome throughout our visit. The atmosphere was also a highlight – very chill and relaxing, perfect for unwinding with friends.

However, the food was a bit of a letdown. Despite the appealing menu, the dishes we ordered lacked flavor and didn't live up to our expectations. While the presentation was good, the taste just wasn't there.

Overall, the W Tavern excels in customer service and ambiance, but there's definitely room for improvement in the kitchen. I'll give it another try in the future, hoping the food improves to match the excellent service and vibe.

The family and I were looking forward to trying a new place that we heard good things about. Honestly, the food was average. There are plenty of better restaurants in the area but it is a cool place to hang out and have a drink.

I very much enjoy it here, music has been delightful, good cocktails for the area (drunken housewife), friendly staff and affordable food options. I just don’t understand how they allow smoking so close to the patio area. I thought PA was smoke free and that people had to be 15 feet away the entrance/ from people eating but there was a lot of smoking between the entrance and patio.
