The beef in the beef and broccoli was not eatable

We ordered the Beef and Broccoli also eggrolls. We have ordered there before, same items. The beef was fatty and tough, had to discard it. Our choice is not to order again. They have had several chances with our orders to impove, didn't happen. Please beware

Update: they are still the best of the best around! They're fried chicken takes 25-30 min bc they fry it fresh but it. is. worth. the. wait!BEST fried chicken! They have EXCELLENT quality food, fresh ingredients, and their fried rice is unbeatable! Friendly service, clean dining, large portions, and excellent food makes this my NUMBER ONE go to spot in York County for Chinese food. In the dozens of times eating here since they opened doors going on TEN years ago, I've NEVER waited longer than 15 minutes for food, whether dining in or ordering take out. I've heard a lot of bragging about the Chinese at Giant but it's so meh compared to River House! The Singapore Mei Fun, Royal Pad Thai, Teriyaki Beef, crab Rangoon, eggrolls, steamed dumplings, and Hunan Beef are all must haves! But their general tsos, sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and all the other staples are very delicious, too! River House opened doors the same month I moved into the area. We tried them right away and never stopped. Even with increase in prices, it is 1000% worth the extra cost for fresh food! We have never once had a poor experience there and the staff has always been very accommodating of our weird requests and incredibly friendly!

Very cool restaurant. Chicken is delicious and worth the wait. Delicious Asian cuisine. Friendly and welcoming staff. Restaurant is clean. I haven't tried the shaved ice but it was very popular while I was waiting on my take out

What a find River House was! I love the Pad Thai and the Yellow Curry. I’ve brought several family members here as well and it has quickly become their go-to place for Asian food. My one family member who isn’t into Asian got the fried chicken and thought it was phenomenal as well. Couldn’t recommend them more.

If I could rate 6 stars I would. River house never misses, Everytime we go it's delicious and hot. The staff is courteous and kind and always serve you with a smile. The best Chinese around , or that I've had for that matter. Will continue to go back, no doubt. If you're looking for a recommendation try the beef and broccoli in brown sauce . Personal favorite. All in all, service is amazing, food is always delicious and definitely a favorite place for me to eat.

We have dined here a half dozen times. A nice small town restaurant with seating for about 30 people. The food is a mix of Thi and Chinese with an ice cream shop on the other half of the property. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. I have yet to have a dish I did not enjoy. Tonight we had Crab Rangoon, Garlic Chicken, and Kung Pao Delight.

I am always on the lookout for places that I haven't been to that have at least one thing on their menu that intrigues me. Through my Yelp searches I discovered River House and noticed that their menu consists of Chinese, Thai and Indonesian. This is the first place that I've discovered in the central Pennsylvania area that offers anything Indonesian on the menu so on my day off from work I took the 37 minute drive to try this place out. The reviews online are good. Part of my trip there took me along the scenic Riverside route and it was nice to enjoy the autumn colors of the trees at this time of year. Upon entry into the restaurant there were two customers who were dining in and I was able to take seat wherever I wanted. Throughout the course of the meal two other customers dined in and several others came in to pick up their takeout orders. This place is pretty remote so it was interesting to find this kind of cuisine in this area. I first ordered the Soto Jakarta soup with a light broth, thinly sliced beef, cabbage, fried onions and the most delicate and thin angel hair noodles I've ever had. The soup was not bold in flavor but it stimulated my appetite. I then had their Singapore Mei Fun noodles and I ordered them extra spicy. Typically I would not order two noodle dishes back to back but I wanted to see what theirs was about. The Mei Fun was really the star of today's lunch. Super flavorful, great amount of heat which I like and the flavor lingered long after I finished eating. There were a couple other items on their menu that I want to try so that only goes to say that I'll have to return another day to get my fix.

I have been wanting to try this place for a long time based on others’ reviews. I am picky about my Chinese food, and rarely eat it because I haven’t found a place that I like. My wife got the egg drop soup and she said it reminded her of a really good place in DC. I had the General Tsos and it had good spice and lots of sauce. We drove 45 minutes home after picking it up, and it was still hot when we got home.

This please is definitely authentic Chinese food the way it is supposed to be and taste, unlike mostly all of the Chinese restaurants around here. It's a little hole in the wall but the best Chinese food I have had in a very very long time. Service is just a bit slow, but I can assure you that it's worth the wait.
