I had a naked sandwich, I paid more for the bread. The only good thing were the fries. The waitress was nice but the place looked like it was for crack heads. $25 down the drain. Never going

12-5-23 Do yourself a favor and skip this place. I was underwhelmed! The menus are taped to the walls. I ordered chocolate with whip cream which was served in a styrofoam cup. When I asked for an actual mug/cup the server complained making some excuse about Covid while taking the cup back so I decided to just keep the styrofoam cup. I ordered an Omelete which arrived burned. The eggs were brown all over! AJ eggs should still remain yellow when cooked properly. Even Omelettes. I refused to consume that mess. The toast was served to me in saran wrap. If I wanted take out food I would have asked for take-out. This environment felt more like a corner store that sells food instead of an actual restaurant type establishment. I did not feel welcome or that the place wanted people to dine in. Again, I do not recommend AJ's on Ogontz Ave. in Philadelphia, PA located in a strip mall across Cheltenham Mall..

Grits were so cold butter wouldn't melt in them. Coffee horrible,toast cold,wrapped like it was made for take out not eat in. Went there when I lived in the neighborhoo,everything was great. Don't know what happened.

They said 20 mins, 20mins turned in 35 mins. No apologies nothing. I stop going to aj’s and I remember why I stop coming. The service is slow and the food is not that good!
The waitress here was killing it but the food was really bad. I got a club sandwich that only had turkey and bacon (no lettuce or tomato) no salt on the fries. Mom asked for bacon well done and toast with no butter and didn't get either. Also if people were grabbing on me like they were to get this waitress' attention, I would have lost my mind. We won't be back.
