The lo mein is incredible. The best I’ve had ever and anywhere. The people are courteous and attentive. Parking is somewhat of a hassle.

I have been ordering take-out and delivery from New Star for 20 years. It is the best Chinese take out place in the area. Quality has maintained throughout the years and their prices are fair for the quality of their food. Every time we try a new place just to do something different we regret it. Our favorites: white meat General tsao Chicken, Hunan style Beef or chicken, Tofu with mixed veggies and black bean sauce. Chicken Lo Mein and Singaporean Mei Fun. But I think everything they make is great.

My go to for delivery. Been in Elkins Park for two years. They deliver and the shrimp egg foo young is the best.

The food is pretty standard for Chinese take out. Friendly staff. I’ve been here often. The only problem is every time I eat here, I get a headache and don’t feel well the day after. I started noticing this trend recently. I’m sensitive to MSG but I don’t know if they use that. I’m just posting this in case someone else is having a similar experience.

Food is good/average. Just moved to the area and wanted to find a place that's as good as what I'm used to in Tampa. Chicken and broccoli was good and I'm happy it wasn't drowning in sauce but broccoli and carrots both undercooked and crunchy, same with the peas in fried rice (didn't have much flavor besides "oil"). Eggroll and veggie spring roll both had good flavor but were tough like they weren't super fresh or they were left in fryer too long. Wonton soup- wontons are all dough, not enough substance inside.

Overall. decent place but a little far from me so probably will not return.

Friendly, fast and delicious!
The shrimp rolls are wonderful, definitely fried fresh!
Ordered the jumbo shrimp w/broccoli, moo goo gai pan, and hot and sour soup.
Quality fresh ingredients, everything was packed full of flavor, nothing was oily or soggy with grease like a lot of take out places. I asked for extra spicy and it was the perfect amount of heat.
I love love love this place, haven't had great take out Chinese like this in years! Can't wait to go back!

We order from here at least once a week for the last few years. They are fast and efficient with orders. They always get the order correct. I took off 1 star because they close at 9pm which I think is too early esp on Friday and Saturday nights. The general tso is also hit or miss (more breading than actual chicken) depending on who is cooking. Pizza rolls are on point!

I got the shrimp with walnuts and cheese wontons. Both are good, but I definitely recommend getting the cheese wontons. It comes in 8 pieces and with a sweet and sour sauce. Would definitely try more from here.

Their pork egg foo young is the best in the area. Nobody makes gravy for the patties and rice that has a little Tang to it. New Star comes
