Hands down the best restaurant in the area. Have been coming for years and always impressed by the seasonal menu changes and unique flavors and commitment to local ingredients. Loved being able to get a smash burger in a Saturday during restaurant week. To date the best burger I’ve ever had in my life.

I dined about two weeks ago on a Sunday with my husband and my 2 year old daughter. Parking can get sparse after 10 AM so beware. This place received a ton of praise and they were all correct, this spot is legit. The waitress was so accommodating to my toddler’s special yogurt and honey request and I was even able to purchase a bag of their delicious local coffee that they were providing. The portions are massive and I was very happy about the service we received and will be returning very soon. Even seating by the corner windows overlooking the river set the perfect aesthetic for the morning. Thank you to everyone who was so kind.

This place was outstanding, from the kind and efficient staff, the food, THE VIEW, and the quiet hum of fun conversation and gentle clanking of silverware and earth made coffee mugs. I was there for breakfast, the menu was full of choices, familiar yet a twist of their own; complimenting ingredients and cooking techniques , your taste buds will salivate for! Future you will thank you!

My second time at Charcoal, but this time for lunch. Went during the heatwave happening now in June on the East Coast. Place was hot, just about no AC...only cranked it up when I asked. Second, I asked for a takeout order of a Turkey Club sandwich, specifically 'dry', absolutely no mayonnaise. Repeated this twice to the server, and I could see she was writing it down. I get home, and the sandwich is drenched with mayonnaise. Immediately called the restaurant, as the sandwich is for dinner tonight. Explain the situation to the hostess, told her I will come back to get a replacement with no mayo. She puts me on hold, comes back on and tells me they can't replace the sandwich until tomorrow morning. Are you kidding me??? What customer Service...NOT!!! Won't be dining back there, ever!!!

I am not sure I have ever left a bad review before. But, the more I think about this situation, the more it bothers me. My wife, my young granddaughter and myself stopped at Charcoal in Yardley late Saturday morning for brunch. It was busy but not packed. We were three walk-ins as well as the three walk-in women behind us. We were all told about a fifteen minute wait. No problem with that. There were multiple open tables along the front wall with windows overlooking the river. My granddaughter was hoping to sit there and look out at the river. As we were being seated and led towards the back corner away from the windows, I asked the young female hostess if we could have one of the window tables. She told me “No, those tables are for reservations only”. Again, no problem with that until…five minutes later the three women walk-ins that came in behind us were being seated at one of the window tables I had inquired about. They announced themselves as walk-ins, did not have a reservation and did not get seated at the open 4-top table or open 6-top table in the corner away from the windows where we were. So clearly those tables are not just for reservations. The food was excellent and the service from our waiter was excellent. It is a shame to do this, but you get one star from us…don’t lie to your customers. Thank you.
I went to the Charcoal BYOB on Delaware Avenue in Yardley, PA today. I had the Au Poivre Cheese Steak (pictured below) with Sweet Potatoe Fries and followed that up with their signature Brioche Donuts. The food and service were great during a busy Saturday late lunch rush. We will be back again.

Celebrating our Mom’s 91st birthday. Our first time there and I chose it based on the reviews. Mom had a lovely time. Thank you Charcoal for a lovely, memorable day. Oh, and their donut dessert was amazing-we ordered one and then two!

Charcoal was an amazing place to get breakfast! The location is near the river that you can view if you get a table near the window. I had gone here in January. We had made a reservation so we did not have to wait. Service was very nice and attentive. I had the eggs Benedict with ham and it was good. Someone else at my table got the eggs Benedict Florentine which I think was even better! I also liked the home fries. Everything was nicely flavored. Our most favorite thing that our table had shared as a group of 3 was the brioche donut which was amazing. It was warm and the caramel sauce was perfect with it-one of the best donuts I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a yummy breakfast spot with great service and nice views.

Absolutely love Charcoal BYOB! The food is delicious, the service is fast and friendly and the views of the Delaware river are breathtaking. It's a BYOB so you do have to bring your own alcoholic beverages but that means the bill is that much more pleasant to receive! I can't wait to go back!
