I ordered the Ruben sandwich, but it was horrible—dried-out corned beef that was so tough I couldn't chew it. I had to settle for a sauerkraut sandwich. I mentioned this to two waitresses, both of whom said they would tell the chef, but I highly doubt they did. If they did, the chef clearly doesn't care about serving food customers cannot eat, as I was forced to accept what was brought to me. Good customer service is not a priority at the Continental. A responsible server would have taken the sandwich back and asked if I wanted to order something else. Instead, I was completely ignored.

A nice historic tavern. You can see bottles and glass from George Washington's time that they have put in glass cases on the wall. The kitchen though messed up the order, I ordered a cheeseburger and only got a burger and not the toppings I wanted that my boyfriend said he didn't want. They did it to my burger

Varied menu of classic American food, e.g., burgers, salads, flatbread, etc. in an historic tavern (photo). I had a great apple, feta cheese, nuts, etc salad that delicious. For sharing we ordered a basket of onion rings and another basket of sweet potato fries. YUM!

Parking can be difficult after 2000 on a weekend but in a safe neighborhood so walking around town isn't problematic. Bar area table was not difficult to get, wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good, order got a little mixed up despite being only moderately busy. Easy fix. Great to see the owner come out to greet us, glad some places still do that! Overall, good experience, will definitely go back, especially when they have live music.
Service was ok. Food was terrible. I ordered my burger medium. It came out past well done. Food has gone down hill. This is not the first time of Food not being cooked properly.

A great experience! Comforting, delicious bar food, but elevated and perfectly cooked! Fresh salads, gourmet burgers, expertly fried wings, and probably the best fish and chips we have ever had. It looked like it was going to be heavy and over-oiled, but it was so light and beautifully cripsy! I have already recommended this place to my friends, and we will definitely be coming back again!

The food was delivered both soggy and cold. The waitress was disheveled though “nice” but did not write our order down and my date got the wrong food.
The pot pie is from either Sam’s club or cosco.
I think they skimp on the alcohol. I ordered a gin and tonic and I know the tonic was flat, and it seemed like they were conserving the Hendricks. There was only 1 ice cube in the drink and the gin and tonic was on the warm side (gross) the lemon was dry.
Two entrees, two mixed drinks and two sodas was about 90 bucks- not worth 30 bucks
I’d never go here again or recommend it. Also, I’d direct people away from it if anyone asked me on the street.
