When in PEI, make sure to swing by Pappy's in Belfast! They're closing Sep 3rd but will be open again in the Spring. Great food and very friendly people!

I stopped in while on vacation on the island and thought it would be a nice change from seafood. It was so much more than that!The brisket sandwich was incredible, so was the mac and cheese.The owners and staff were so friendly and kind, all around I'm so glad I stopped in!To be honest, everything on the menu sounded amazing and I wish I'd planned better and could've gone for dinner to try a little more!

Wife and I had the plater for 2 - food was pretty good, we’ve eaten A LOT of Texas BBQ and this was close, but lacking a little bit on flavour. Out of the entire platter the brisket was the best, followed by the ribs, sausage and then pulled pork. The pulled pork was really lacking seasoning and flavour, but they did provide sauces you could dip/add onto the meats. Sides were decent, but the coleslaw was again lacking a lot of flavour… overall it’s a decent spot for some good BBQ which was unexpected to find on an island that is praised for its seafood! Also it was quite expensive $85 for a plater for two seemed a little excessive for what we got, but I guess everything these days is expensive.

Very mediocre restaurant. The brisket was bland. Didn’t even taste like it was seasoned with salt & pepper. Very expensive for what you get and quality. The server was… challenging. I’m not sure if she spoke English as she barely said a word to us. When she did, it was difficult to understand. We couldn’t tell if she had an accent or not as she spoke very quietly and kind of mumbled. Can’t see myself returning.

I had a near religious experience eating the beef brisket sandwich here. Pappy has absolutely mastered BBQ. I only wished I lived on this side of the country so I could eat here regularly. Do not miss this place!

Pappy's never fails to disappoint. To be honest, I'm glad it's an hour drive for us to get there because we would probably eat it FAR too much. Ribs are so delicious, beans are top notch, it's all so good! The service is just as good as the food. There are also plenty of gluten-free options. Every side on the menu with the exception of the mac and cheese and corn bread is gluten free. Pappy's is by far the best BBQ on the Island.

Brisket was perfect, fries are very good and underrated for sure, and the staff were super friendly. My kids liked the on-site playground while we waited for our takeout order.
